What you'll do Design and implement software that make uses of our unique camera hardware Deploy, test, and optimize these apps on mobile devices Collaborate by writing documentation, engaging in code review, and commenting on design documents Engage with other teams (product, engineering, marketing) to design and deploy software that supports our goals as a company What you'll need Currently has or in the process of obtaining a BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field Strong programming skills in C or C++ Experience with software engineering best practices (testing, version control, code review) Background in building and deploying applications for embedded systems (through coursework or previous projects) Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with image processing fundamentals Experience with ARM-based systems and performance optimization (e.g. NEON, DSP) Prior work with Android & related tools (e.g. Android Studio) and mobile development Understanding of camera sensor interfaces and hardware abstraction layers (HAL) The Company Metalenz, a Boston based venture backed startup built on foundational research from Harvard University, develops next-generation imaging and sensing solutions for high volume consumer electronics markets using patented low-cost metasurface technology, advanced image processing, and novel machine learning algorithms. Our compensation ranges are determined by role and experience level. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the noted geographic area. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
