    Our not-for-profit social service organization is seeking custodians for the AbilityOne contract (employment for individuals with qualifying disabilities) to become valuable members of our Goodwill team! If hired, you will become part of the team responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment within one of downtown Cincinnati's federal buildings. This site is located conveniently close to multiple bus routes, is secure and in pristine condition. We would prefer the ideal candidate have a High School diploma or GED but is not required. However, you must be able to work independently after being given instructions and direction. Able to lift up to 50 lbs., walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching. AbilityOne documentation required - signed documentation from a medical provider that certifies that an individual has a qualifying disability (Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries Employment Services team will assist with documentation post-offer/pre-employment). Our team members must be able to pass an initial drug screen and then random screenings throughout employment. You must also be able to pass an established facility Security Clearance. These tasks include, but are not limited to: disinfecting and cleaning restroom fixtures; dusting furniture, window sills and ledges; spot cleaning walls; doors and glass; collecting and removing trash from buildings; emptying ashtrays; vacuuming carpeted areas; dust mopping; wet mopping; spray buffing resilient tile floors; shampooing carpets; stripping and refinishing wood, composition and resilient tile floors; sweeping and mopping concrete and hard surface floors; sweeping and mopping stairs; re-supplying paper and soap dispensers; polishing furniture; replacing burnt out lamps; and other cleaning-related tasks as far as interior work is concerned. 3.4 Operates and maintains powered cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbing machines, other automatic scrubbers, wet/dry vacuums, carpet vacuums, carpet shampooers, pile brush vacuums, and pressure washers. 3.5 Uses and maintains non-powered cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, cleaning cloths, spray bottles, brushes and custodial carts. 3.6 Performs grounds care tasks in assigned areas in accordance with established procedures. These tasks include, but are not limited to, mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, watering, fertilizing, reseeding, applying fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, and sterilants. In addition, performs regular policing tasks such as picking up trash, emptying trash containers, sweeping sidewalks, parking areas, and roadways; cleaning storm drains, catch basins, swales, and unclogging drains if they should become obstructed with trash and debris. 3.7 Operates and maintains powered grounds care equipment such as mowers, edgers, trimmers, vacuum machines, blowers, sprayers, spreaders, and saws. 3.8 Provides manual labor for a variety of tasks as directed by immediate supervisor. Manual labor tasks include, but are not limited to: moving furniture and equipment; setting up tables, chairs, exhibits and displays; loading and unloading trucks, etc. 3.9 Uses and maintains non-powered grounds care equipment such as shovels, axes, slings, hoes, wheelbarrows, saws, trimmers hedge trimmers, trash pickup stick, trash sack or trash container. 3.10 Moves office and school furniture and equipment as required to perform assigned cleaning and grounds care work tasks. 3.11 Participates in off-shift, weekend, holiday, and "on-call" coverage. 3.12 Demonstrates loyalty and dedication to the purposes and goals of the Ohio County Schools. 3.13 Performs other duties as directed by immediate supervisor.
