At Wilson, we use a variety of imaging technologies (Bone Density Testing, CT Scans, CT Heart Screening with Calcium Scoring, 3d Digital Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, Ultrasounds, and X-Rays) to help us obtain detailed views of our patient's internal anatomies, to minimize the need for invasive diagnostic surgery. The department is staffed with highly-trained radiology personnel and several board-certified radiologists, who are trained to read in specific, diagnostic areas. All images are stored on our state-of-the-art Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), which allows physicians to view the images on a computer and send and receive images with other physicians for consultation purposes. Job Summary: The Echo/Vascular Ultrasound Tech operates ultrasound equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic and/or invasive procedures, as directed by Radiologist. The patient population would include the pediatric patient, the adolescent patient, the young-middle aged adult patient, and the geriatric patient Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures with the level of competence required by the ARDMS, ACR, and the Medical and Administrative Directors of Radiology. * Maintains both quality and quantity of the patient workload at the professional level demonstrated in the department. * Displays an understanding of procedures and equipment utilized throughout the department. What You Will Do: Performs Cardiac Ultrasound Testing (echocardiography) Perform echocardiography studies, including M-mode, 2D, Doppler, color flow, and spectral Doppler imaging, following established protocols Conduct stress echocardiograms (exercise and pharmacologic) and pediatric echocardiograms. Adhere to and support all accreditation standards; assist in maintaining IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) echocardiography accreditation. Performs Holter Monitor Service Oversees Holter monitor services, including application, disconnection, programming, and functionality checks. Educate patient on proper use and expectations of Holter and long-term monitor devices. Ensure timely data retrieval, report preparation, and follow-up for physician review. Cardiac Long-Term Monitoring Applies and removes cardiac long-term monitoring devices in accordance with established procedures Educates patients on monitor maintenance, daily usage, and proper transmission of cardiac event data Manages and reviews data using designated software platforms; prepares and finalizes reports for physician interpretation.
