Job Description
The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for managing all production employees, operations, and processes within the division. The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of the plant operations, including safety, human capital, along with equipment facilities and maintenance while maximizing equipment usage and increasing labor productivity. This person is responsible for the creation and implementation of new employee orientation, training programs and recommended compensation changes for production staff. The Operations Manager will utilize LEAN manufacturing principles to drive process improvement and recommend new equipment/capital expenses. The Operations Manager will partner with the Plant Manager and other department managers to ensure timely product shipment according to customer specifications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing, or commensurate experience
5+ years of senior level leadership experience in metals/steel industry, fabrication experience a huge plus
3+ years of direct oversight of hourly employees
LEAN Manufacturing experience required, Six Sigma or other certification preferred
Experience with creating & updating SOPs for equipment and processes
Prior experience with vendor management & equipment maintenance
Ability to mentor employees and foster an inclusive culture
Knowledge of inventory management, customer service, budgets, and quality control
Skilled at reengineering operations, creating policies, and implementing new strategies
Skilled at communicating with all employees
Ability to train employees on various safety, quality, inventory, and other operations items

Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, adjust assemblies and lubricate electrical equipment taking all safety precautions.
Isolate circuits, dismantle, inspect, repair and adjust or replace faulty parts and wiring on power feeds and equipment.
Locate source of trouble and make either temporary or permanent repairs as required to equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair and replace all AC and DC motor drives, programmable logic controllers, sensors, and analog devices assisting plant Electrical Engineers.
Using a laptop PC login and communicate with processors in PLC racks, monitor variables, upload software and force logic as necessary to troubleshoot.

Education: Minimum of A.S. in mechanical engineering and/or extensive background in airfoils layout inspection or tool building. Strong programming background desired. Computer knowledge of AutoCad, IGES, Excel, and Unigraphics is a plus. Good organizational and interpersonal skills.

Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus.
Principal Area of Responsibility: Program LK, Wenzel and Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform dimensional inspection of castings, fixtures and gages. As part of this function, will review complete blueprints of airfoil castings gages in preparation for writing inspection programs. Will work with Quality Engineers and Product Engineers in the development of inspection plans for gathering and reporting of information. Train CMM production operators and create/update procedures as required.

* Substantial experience in programming Camio, OpenDMIS and/or GOM software.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the coordination of the NDT equipment. This includes ordering as needed & backup parts, coordinating repair & calibration with outside NDT vendors, troubleshooting, and any other duties to maintain a high level of NDT testing & production as required. Supports other regional PTC Alliance and/or Metal-Matic facilities as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily monitoring and auditing of Nondestructive test equipment, operators, and reported test data.
Interface with vendors of NDT equipment to maintain calibration, troubleshoot, repair, update and modernize capability of equipment.
Assists Mill UT operator to set up & verify ultrasonic equipment on the welding mills.
Pursue and evaluate new equipment/technologies for NDT.
Assist in installation and/or design of new test equipment.
Responsible for repair and calibrations of Mill UT, equipment, inspection NDE equipment
Train & qualify NDT operators when Level II certificate is obtained.
Assists in gathering NDT data to support investigations on internal and external quality claims.
Repairs and maintains laser OD gauges on straighteners.
Maintain & troubleshoot Rea-Jet stencil systems & print heads.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 5 - 7 years of related NDT experience.
Certified Level II UT, ET is preferred but will consider qualified Level I operators.
Obtaining a Level II NDT certificate will be a mandate for continual future employment. Experience in quality related functions is a plus but not necessary.

Position Summary:
The Tool and Die Maker will cut, shape, finish, and maintain tools made of metal and will create airfoil tools.
Essential Functions:
* Uses tools and dies to build fixtures; creates dies as required to construct new fixtures.
* Repairs dies, molds, and tools when needed; disassembles molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures, then reassembles when repaired.
* Reads and understands blueprints and complicated schematics as required to create and build new fixtures, tools, and machine parts.
* Uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to create designs and/or turn designs into blueprints.
* Inspects completed tools and dies for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect functionality.
* Regularly tests all equipment, tools, and machines to ensure they are arranged and set properly and working efficiently.
* Modifies machines to control speed, material feed, or path of cut as required to ensure a quality product is produced within specifications.
* Maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.
