JOB DESCRIPTION
Production Operator
Assignment: Operate and support production operations at the COP Alpine or Kuparuk Facilities and Drillsites. Positions are rotational (14 days on/14 days off) and based at self-contained camps in remote arctic environments.
Responsibilities
Participate in ConocoPhillips safety programs, operations toolboxes, and emergency response drills/events.
Ensure safe operation of production processes, pipelines, utilities, and safety systems within assigned Operating Areas.
Exercise Stop-Work Authority when conditions are unsafe, change or are outside approved safety protocols.
Conduct routine operator rounds and area surveillance to monitor equipment and identify issues proactively.
Respond to process upsets and abnormal conditions, and perform facility start-up and shutdown activities for both planned and unplanned events.
Comply with all safety procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, and environmental standards.
Maintain operating integrity through adherence to Safe Operating Limits, Management of Change, and Control of Work processes.
Complete all required Training and Competency requirements to safely operate assigned facilities and/or drill sites.
Prepare and execute energy isolations and preparation of equipment for maintenance.
Achieve production targets through proactive surveillance, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Preferred Technical Qualifications:
3 or more years direct oilfield or petrochemical operations experience.
Associate degree or higher in process technology or relevant technical discipline.
Intermediate knowledge of Production Operations and Process Safety Management
1 or more years' experience as a Field Production Operator for wells and remote gathering systems, AND/OR
1 or more years' experience as a Field Production Operator for a processing facility, AND/OR

Locate underground services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work. Performs routine maintenance on equipment, such as lubricating, fueling, replace parts, such as gears and bearings, and cleaning.
Measure and verify elevations and slopes to ensure accurate later placement of rip rap materials.
Communicate with team members to coordinate adjustments on placement.

The candidate will operate equipment on the airfield and airport property. They must also be able to communicate clearly with company and air to ground radios. Daily duties include removing snow from the airfield surfaces, parking lots, roadways, and sidewalks. Other duties are cleaning of equipment, emergency concrete and asphalt repair, brush and tree removal, and many other labor-intensive jobs.
As a part of the AFM crew the candidate will operate and maintain these airports and roadways in all conditions.
