Hexcel is currently seeking a CNC Operator for our Burlington, WA location. Primary recruitment is for 2nd and 3rd shift. No previous CNC experience required - we provide training! Summary pay range: $23.15 - $33.36 hourly wage rate.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
* Operation of industrial equipment, primarily 5-axis milling machines. Additionally, band saws, industrial ovens, and other equipment.
* Prepare and load tools and parts on to the machines.
* Follow process and work instructions. Inspect product to ensure quality requirements are met.
* All positions work in a team environment to produce high quality composite parts in a timely manner.
* Positions are expected to be able to work both independently and with a high degree of detail and accuracy.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Applicants must present proof of US Person status prior to hire.
* Applicants must show a stable work history, preferably in manufacturing and ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment. A minimum of six months hand and power tool experience is preferred. Employees are required to be able to work all shifts and have a willingness to work overtime as needed.
* A post-offer drug test is required.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision Machine Operators are responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of fabrication machining equipment including horizontal bandsaws, CNC press brakes and CNC lasers. Machine Operators must be able to work from verbal and written instructions including blueprints, engineering drawings or models. It is the operator's responsibility to inspect machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using measuring tools including tape measures, square, calipers, etc. If a part is out of tolerance basic troubleshooting and correction is required. It is also the Machine Operators responsibility to perform routine maintenance and cleaning of their equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The ability to operate a variety of machines in the factory (lasers/press brakes/bandsaws).
The ability to interface with other departments to accomplish tasks (Quality/Safety/Engineering).
The ability to use appropriate measuring instruments for the task (calipers, tape measures, protractors).
The ability to use and operate hand tools.
Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day.
The ability to operate a forklift and crane.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS ONCE IN THE ROLE INCLUDE:
Minimum of one-year experience operating a forklift.
Basic blueprint reading skills.
Basic math skills.

6:00pm to 6:30am Thu-Sun and Fri-Sun (alternates each week)
*Training schedule 6a-230p M-F for approximately 30 days

Plus $2.00/hr Shift Differential once working nights
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Completion of production paperwork.
Use of hand tools (ratchet, wrench, razor knife, measuring tape & electric drill).
Operation of resin coaters and cure ovens.
Forklift and hoist operation (training provided).
Respirators necessary in certain conditions (respirator fit testing provided).
Basic housekeeping duties and basic machine maintenance.
Active participation in operational improvement activities.
Willing to cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.
Other task as needed and flexibility is key.
Overtime required as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Proficiently and safely operate production machine centers and equipment including but not limited to front-end loader, backhoes, excavators, graders, dozers, etc.

· Relieve Crane Operators as needed (Colville only)

Overview
Forklift operators at Arlington are asked to perform a wide variety of tasks. Forklift operators unload finished product from lumber trucks, sort the product into proper locations, and assist with paper wrapping procedures at the facility. Forklift operators load outbound trucks, box cars, flat cars, and A-frame railcars with the appropriate material. They also perform the necessary car cabling and car tightening, tie down, air bagging, or banding needed for each type of load.
This position is Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm. The person who fills this position must have the ability to learn to access shipping computer system to generate required paperwork for shipping and inventory information. As production needs dictate, forklift operators will also assist with processing side loads, paper wrapping procedures, and general site maintenance or clean-up.

* Ability to work/communicate professionally with lumber carriers, vendors, and railroad operators
* Good hand/eye coordination
* Working knowledge of lumber species and product mix preferred but not required
* Ability to identify attributes and barcodes is preferred but not required
* Proficient in Excel and Lumbertrack is preferred but not required
* Must be able to work at heights of at least 15 feet.
* Experience with loading and unloading railcars and lumber trucks is preferred but not required.

Operator operates the waterjet cutting equipment to cut parts according to specifications and blueprints.
Accesses and uploads programming files.
Adjust machine settings using CNC controls to achieve desired results.
Loads and unloads materials using a forklift or overhead cranes.
Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy and quality.
Maintain and clean the waterjet cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy using measuring tools (calipers, scale, tape, square, etc.).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Know, Understand, and Apply the Lock-out Tag-out procedures for all applicable equipment
Know, Understand, and Apply all aspects of the Quality Management System, and Standard Quality Control Procedures
Monitor the quality of product and notify the appropriate personnel if substandard conditions exist
Cross train on multiple machine centers, rolling stock, and departments
Operates equipment safely and efficiently
Performs mandatory pre-shift checklists and daily maintenance records
Assist with preventive/predictive maintenance activities and cleaning
Assist in training and mentoring of new employees
Float between departments to assist in areas of greatest need
