MILL OPERATOR PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
Responsible for the safe operation of aluminum rolling mill, processing material from and to coils. Responsibility also includes ensuring safety and productivity goals are met while minimizing downtime and producing a quality product.
MILL OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operating rolling mill(s) in accordance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Change rolls used in production and assist other Mill Operators with roll changes and threading.
Monitor production processes to ensure efficient operation and product quality.
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify any issues or potential maintenance needs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs, to keep machinery running smoothly.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance staff to resolve any issues in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate production records, including output quantities, downtime, and quality control checks through both manual and electronic data collection systems.
Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes and achieve production targets.
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Participate in training programs and skill development initiatives to enhance your knowledge and proficiency in mill operations.
Operate equipment including but not limited to forklifts and overhead cranes.
Assists in writing and reviewing of operational job safety analysis (JSAs) on plant equipment; improves procedures and collaborates on new JSAs based on observations and experiences.
MILL OPERATOR REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a mill operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metal industry.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform conversions to decimals or other forms of measurement.
Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.

MILL OPERATOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires ability to work in a manufacturing environment. Understand and follow all JSA's and safety procedures/policies
Loads Cores and Journals on take-up equipment
Webs, pulls and maintains resin material to produce quality film onto rolls
Inspects quality of rolls before production begins and continuously checks quality of the line as it is being produced
Properly documents quality inspections
Checks all safety guards are in place and working properly according to procedure
Cuts lines that have lost air or are of poor quality
Removes rolls in a timely manner from lines that have gone down or finished runs
Properly labels, packages and stages finished rolls
Weighs scrap tubs, records weight and sends to be recycled
Qualifications

Position Purpose:
This position operates and maintains water production and water quality for public consumption in Bloomsburg, Nuremberg, Mahoning Township, Wonderview, and the Columbia County Industrial Park. Ensures pumping combinations are conducted in the most economical manner. Observes treatment conditions and regulates chemical dosing. Monitors booster stations and storage facilities. Performs preventative and reactive maintenance of all production equipment.
This position also maintains wastewater lift stations in Mahoning Township and the wastewater treatment plants at the Columbia County Industrial Park and Wonderview. This position will perform preventative and reactive maintenance of all wastewater equipment.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Conducting routine water testing and recording test results; ensuring quality of treated water meets federal and local regulations and company standards.
Monitoring all charts, gauges, and other operating equipment at treatment plant(s) or within distribution system(s), utilizing SCADA.
Calculating the chemical feed rate required, calibrating feed equipment, and adjusting feed rate per lab tests or supervisor's instructions.
Preparing and submitting routine state and regulatory reports for review.
Analyzing system parameters and determining when additional help is required.
Maintain appropriate chemical inventory levels.
Responding to emergency calls from the SCADA system.
Complete routine maintenance chores and housekeeping as required.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:

Connect/stub-up conduit and wire, as required
Dig pits, trenches, or potholes as required, including windows when crossing utilities
Restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
Accurately complete all required company documentation for each assignment (i.e., timesheet, vehicle log, expense report)
Adhere to all established company safety policies and perform work in a safe manner
Perform other duties as assigned to help the team complete a project

Job Description
Position Purpose:
This position operates and maintains water production and water quality for public consumption in Bloomsburg, Nuremberg, Mahoning Township, Wonderview, and the Columbia County Industrial Park. Ensures pumping combinations are conducted in the most economical manner. Observes treatment conditions and regulates chemical dosing. Monitors booster stations and storage facilities. Performs preventative and reactive maintenance of all production equipment.
This position also maintains wastewater lift stations in Mahoning Township and the wastewater treatment plants at the Columbia County Industrial Park and Wonderview. This position will perform preventative and reactive maintenance of all wastewater equipment.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Conducting routine water testing and recording test results; ensuring quality of treated water meets federal and local regulations and company standards.
Monitoring all charts, gauges, and other operating equipment at treatment plant(s) or within distribution system(s), utilizing SCADA.
Calculating the chemical feed rate required, calibrating feed equipment, and adjusting feed rate per lab tests or supervisor's instructions.
Preparing and submitting routine state and regulatory reports for review.
Analyzing system parameters and determining when additional help is required.
Maintain appropriate chemical inventory levels.
Responding to emergency calls from the SCADA system.
Complete routine maintenance chores and housekeeping as required.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret, and reason.
Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to communicate and be understood both in person and over the telephone.
Ability to use a computer with basic computer skills.
Ability to work shifts including nights and weekends.
Basic knowledge of water treatment methods, water chemistry and tests, federal, state and local drinking water regulations and company standards, and water collection systems.
Excellent organizational skills related to project management and record keeping.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Basic Mechanical & Electrical Skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general personal computer literacy.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
Valid Driver's License.
Appropriate operator certifications required or to be obtained - Water Class B, with Sub-classifications 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, and 13.
Wastewater Class D, with the Sub-classification 1 and Wastewater Class E, Collection System.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, occasional walking, lifting, climb stairs and ladders.

Summary/Objective
This position performs tasks required for the operation of hydraulic excavation equipment for the construction/upgrade of underground utilities, including communications conduit, gas, water, sewer, electric, and more.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Transport associated tools, materials, and/or equipment safely
Complete a daily inspection of equipment prior to commencing work
In conjunction with the crew, operate the equipment to assist in placing underground utilities
Operate equipment in accordance with company and industry standards
Responsible for locating existing underground utilities and verifying them according to blueprints
Identify utilities in the construction area and bore path
Connect/stub-up conduit and wire, as required
Dig pits, trenches, or potholes as required, including windows when crossing utilities
Restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
Accurately complete all required company documentation for each assignment (i.e., timesheet, vehicle log, expense report)
Adhere to all established company safety policies and perform work in a safe manner

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis
Pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background screen
Complete and pass a DOT Physical

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setting up rolling mills or slitters for runs
Monitoring runs of aluminum for quality, quantity, and customer specifications
In mills: changing rolls and assisting other operators with roll changes and threading

Safely operate material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts and overhead cranes.

Capability to accurately read a tape measure and perform conversions to decimals or other forms of measurement.
Industrial manufacturing experience, preferred Forklift and overhead crane experience, preferred
Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws as well as the employer's safety policies and procedures.
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
