This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a front-end loader to move, load, and stockpile aggregate materials such as gravel, sand, stone, or other raw materials. This position ensures material flow for production and shipping while maintaining a clean and organized yard.
Roles and Responsibilites
* Operate equipment to assist with the daily production and operations of the plant.
* Assist plant supervisor with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant.
* Ability to inspect all areas of the plant to perform belt repairs, screen changes, bearing replacements and other necessary maintenance.
* Perform welding and fabrication duties as needed.
* Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
* Must be able to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
* Perform other job duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
* Proficiency in operating a diverse range of large aggregate heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.

What this role is all about:
We are looking for a HTST Operator I in Jerome, ID. The HTST Operator I is responsible for the preparation of raw milk to be used in cheese production.
Pasteurize, standardize and condense milk in preparation for use in cheese production.
Monitor raw milk flow into balance tank, through pasteurizing heaters, through separators to separate cream from the milk, to evaporators for condensing and then ultimately to horizontal cheese vats for use in cheese production.
Regulate factors such as milk solids, cream fats, and temperature and make adjustments depending on the type of cheese to be produced.

Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to approximately 400 employees and processes approximately 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheeses, such as; mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, muenster, parmesan, romano, Monterey jack, gouda, and asiago. They also run various whey streams, such as; deproteinized whey, sweet dairy whey, GMP, permeate, instantized, and our top-rated BiPro products.
