The Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Technologist is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure solutions on Oracle Cloud. The Infrastructure Engineer is expected to personally advance our highest impact initiatives, and to work with others to closure through the right working groups and delegates. The scope of the role is Infra-wide; the DC Infra Engineer is expected to work with the data center teams, Core Systems, CEA, PE, and hardware engineering to architect and implement adaptable solutions that transform our infrastructure in dimensions including performance, efficiency, quality, and resiliency. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the field-level implementation and operational support of Google's rapidly expanding data centers. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of complex HVAC and mechanical distribution systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, swiftly, and with high quality. You will manage site-level mechanical engineering issues, ensuring compliance with design standards and local regulations, supporting quality assurance, and providing technical guidance to vendor teams. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities * Provide technical support to operations teams to define mechanical system design requirements for multiple simultaneous data center projects, overseeing them from inception through completion. * Collaborate with Data Center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) core teams to manage mechanical designs from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issued for Construction (IFC) covering new build-outs, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations. * Address site-specific engineering needs by responding to Requests for Informations (RFIs) in coordination with the Engineer of Record (EOR) and managing the technical bug resolution process. * Facilitate new technology insertions by detailing site-specific requirements during BOD development and coordinating system-level schematics with the EOR to ensure all local standards are met. * Own the resolution of site-level mechanical issues during project execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain interface documents and ensure strict compliance with change control processes.
