An Anytime Fitness Personal Fitness Trainer (PFT) focuses primarily on helping all members “get to a healthier place.” A PFT must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to create and conduct safe and effective exercise for a wide variety of participants. In addition, he/she must be comfortable and confident with fitness program design, program instruction, and influencing behavior change. The PFT does this by servicing Fitness Consultations, Traditional (1-on-1) Training, Small Group Training, Virtual Training and additional programming opportunities as deemed appropriate by the individual club. Beyond the traditional roles described, the PFT provides guidance, education, and encouragement and most importantly, develops relationships with all members to improve retention. AF expects PFTs to possess above average customer service skills and be on a mission to provide a “surprisingly personable experience” with everyone he/she meets. As a Fitness Coach you can expect to perform the following duties: Leading and motivating members through pre-defined workouts Helping members set and achieve goals Making sure members are using correct form and offering corrections if they aren't Understanding the science behind our workouts specifically, heart-rate focused training programs in general, and being aware of what the competition is doing Knowing how to use and demonstrate usage for every piece of equipment utilized in every workout Being a team player Additionally, you'll need to meet these requirements: Being AED/CPR certified Hold and maintain a current fitness certification from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness Specific job duties and selection requirements vary between Orangetheory studio locations and more details can be provided by the studio's hiring manager if you are selected to move forward in the interview process. In a 60-minute class, led by a highly trained and certified coach, members target at least twelve minutes in the Orange Zone to raise their heart rate and charge up metabolism. The result is an increase in calorie burn post-workout, backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). After twelve minutes of hard work in the Orange Zone, your body burns additional calories as you recover over the next 24 hours.
