A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The CNC Machinist I position contributes to the production of medical devices by operating and performing basic set ups of CNC 2 and 3 Axis machines, with the ability to identify X, Y, Z and 0 coordinates. He/she is responsible for running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, such as Lathes, EDM Wire, and Plunge machines in addition to operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products with some supervision. Experience with CNC Machining in a manufacturing work environment required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Machinist, CNC reports directly to the area Supervisor.
Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Completes all required training.

PAY RATE
For positions located in California, pay for this job type falls within the following range and varies based on scope and complexity of job responsibilities: $17.26 - $23.00 per hour. As this position is assigned to the 3rd Shift, a 15% premium is added to the base hourly pay rate for all hours worked during that shift.

TRAK Machine Tools is looking for a highly skilled and experienced CNC Lathe Machinist Level 3 to join our team. This advanced-level role is ideal for a lathe machinist who can work independently from start to finish-developing CNC programs, designing fixtures, performing complex setups, and machining high-precision parts to tolerances of ยฑ0.0001". Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (mills and lathes) for production and prototype parts
Design and fabricate custom jaws, fixtures, and workholding solutions

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of a variety of parts and different metals where very close tolerances must be maintained;
Change dull tooling, and/or make minor offsets and adjustments as needed for tooling wear;
Ensure product quality is achieved by working to operator owned quality (OOQ) standards and requirements including using a range of measuring equipment and interpreting readings;
Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule;
Perform hand finishing;
Follow Good Manufacturing and Good Document Practices (GMP/GDP) at all times including completion of job routers/ cards;
Ensure safe working practices are carried out to minimize risks to the job holder and/or colleagues, including identifying and reporting Safety, Health & Environmental issues;

**POSITION SUMMARY**

Overall Summary
As a Machinist, you will work with tools, fixtures, and machines to manufacture medical devices from setup to operation. A working knowledge of manual machines (i.e., mills, lathes, grinders) and the ability to operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines is utilized to produce large volumes of medical devices made from metals, plastics or other materials.
Your duties will include:
Machinist I:
Operate multiple CNC/Manual machines such as mills and lathes.
Manufacture medical devices that conform to specifications and all Quality Assurance requirements such as calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines, optical comparators, air gages, surface roundness and finish analyzers.
Attain production quotas such as daily goals, team goals, and labor standards.
Complete device history records accurately with minimal errors.
Enter required production data into MicroPort business systems.
Perform routine preventive maintenance including area cleaning.
Machinist II:
Set-up and operate multiple CNC/Manual machines such as mills, lathes, and multi-axis CNC's.
Perform auxiliary production operations such as, but not limited to inspection, metal finishing, robot operation, issuing / receiving raw materials and components.
Work with Engineering staff to develop, prove out, and improve production processes.
Communicate with peers, management, and other departments to ensure optimal efficiency is achieved.
Train other machinists in core job duties.
Senior Machinist: (only applies to internal candidates)
Lead 6S projects and implement improvements to the process.
Be proficient in the set up and operation of at least 3 different types of machines in 3 different work centers.

A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The CNC Machinist II position contributes to the production of medical devices by operating and performing basic set ups of CNC 3 and 4 Axis machines, with the ability to identify X, Y, Z and 0 coordinates. He/she is responsible for running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, such as Lathes, EDM Wire, Plunge, and CMM machines in addition to operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products with minimal or no supervision.
