Function/Duties of Position
Identifies, resolves and documents complex therapeutic problems, demonstrating advanced knowledge and application of this knowledge to a specific patient population.
Responds accurately to requests for drug information from physicians, nurses, patients and patient's families; independently reviews and interprets the literature and applies this information to specific patient care situations.
Monitors therapeutic response and adverse effects of medications to guide drug therapy. Consults with provider when questions or problems are identified and documents activies in the patient medical record. Appropriately reports all adverse drug reactions, drug defects, and medication errors.
Supervise the activities and assume responsibility for all duties being performed by technicians, students, interns, and residents and monitors and evaluates their performance.

Documents activities of clinical decision or medication distribution issues that are not in line with the standard of practice, require follow-up, or continued monitoring/evaluation. OHSU Specialty Critical Care Float Pool nurses provide high-quality, innovative and compassionate family-centered nursing care. Critical Care Float Pool nurses support adult critical care units and individually selected additional units [such as Emergency Department (ED), Emergency Observation Unit (ED Obs) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Critical Care Float Pool nurses support these units for selected planned and unplanned absences and for other staffing deficits. Specific duties include Provide supplementary coverage of labor and delivery call when the permanent faculty are ill, in retreat, traveling professionally, on vacation or on leave. The primary expectation is the provision of clinical midwifery services to patients in the faculty practice during both day and night shifts.
Scholarly Activities: None for Per Diem Faculty. Expectations are congruent with rank.
Education Activities: Clinical education and supervision of graduate nurse-midwifery students and other OHSU learners in the provision of the services to patients in faculty practices. Midwifery students are with on call with clinical faculty approximately 90% of the time.

Function/Duties of Position
CLINICAL SERVICES: Working with the various members of the multi-interdisciplinary team in delivering outpatient care to patients with CIEDs:
Conduct interviews with patient, family, and other health care agencies to obtain past medical records and social and medical history to assess their understanding of the plan of care regarding cardiac monitoring devices.
Independently perform CIED interrogation in the outpatient setting
Problem solve device function, settings, arrhythmia episodes, and interventions.

Analyze clinical data and compose written CIED management summaries, clinic visit notes, and letters.
Triage patient clinical concerns, symptoms, or other relevant data in relation to their cardiac device care.

Educate patient and family regarding all aspects of disease management and diagnostic and device management follow up.

Ensure appropriate resources are available to support patient care and procedures in the outpatient setting.
Educate patient and family on signs and symptoms that require a follow up telephone call or clinic visit.
Collaborate with medical faculty, nursing staff, and other health care agencies to facilitate patient and family needs.
Assist with accurate data collection and analysis to support Device Clinic charting platform, national registries, process improvement, and quality initiatives.
Assist with managing device alerts, advisories, recalls in partnership with multidisciplinary team and vendors.

Function/Duties of Position
We collaborate with our surgical service teams, as well as a broad multidisciplinary group including: PT/OT, dietitians, wound care nurses, social workers, case managers, speech therapists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists to deliver exceptional evidenced-based pre and post-operative care for our patients.
Patient Populations:
Red Surgery: Bariatric surgery's, esophagectomies, paraoesophageal hernia repairs.
Blue Surgery: Pancreatic and splenic conditions, hernia repairs, fundoplication, Whipple procedures, and Total Pancreatectomy with Islet Autotransplantion (TPIAT).
Green Surgery: Hernia repairs, colorectal, fistula management, new ostomy and ileostomy takedowns.
Gold Surgery: Fast track Whipple procedures, HDR Brachytherapy
Required Qualifications
At least 1 year of current nursing experience
Population specific competencies: TPIAT, Fats-track whipple, Brachytherapy, Esophagectomies
BSN Graduates: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date.
ADN Graduates: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date.
Associate degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire
Current, unencumbered Oregon State RegisteredNurse License

Dialysis nurses provide care to all ages and a diversified population ranging from acute to chronically ill patients while adhering to strict, dynamic regulatory standards. During the hemodialysis (HD) procedure, the nurse is managing the patients clinical status, the venous access, the infusion of blood components or specialized fluids, and oversees the technical aspects of the HD machines.
