    Intervention Specialist will monitor and report on progress students make toward identified educational goals in grades pre-k through 12th grade (depending upon classroom placement). Intervention Specialist will demonstrate an understanding and application of ABA principles and procedures, guide classroom support staff in assisting with educational instruction activities and implementation of designated intensive teaching sessions, and will lead designated skill set/project meetings in collaboration with supervisors. Intervention Specialists will attend regular meetings with the clinical team. This is a contracted, full-time (9-10 month) position with paid time off during the summer per the established educational calendar.     An Itinerant Preschool Teacher is an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist who provides services to 3, 4, and 5-year-old children who qualify for services on an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Students who qualify may have goals in any of these areas: Academic Achievement, Fine motor, Gross Motor, Communication, Social-emotional behavior, Adaptive behavior, and Cognitive skills. The Itinerant Teacher will work with the child and parents or teachers for a minimum of one hour per week to monitor the child's progress on IEP goals and to help the parents or teachers continue activities throughout the week. These strategies and activities can then be used in the child's daily environment. Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. To teach according to the provided courses of study.
