Responsibilities
Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.

Summary
Assists the Pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing, distribution, and control of medications throughout the facility. The Pharmacy Technician will work directly with Premier Community HealthCare Group's patients on providing best-in-class customer service at our pharmacy and perform a variety of activities in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will support the patient care efforts of the pharmacy team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a best-in-class patient experience for those visiting Premier's pharmacies. Ensure patients are taken care of in a timely manner and maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism.
Answer phones in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. Answering questions within their scope and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, filling, and delivery of medications and other tasks associated with dispensing.
Ensures the patient receives correct medication by using appropriate dispensing procedures.
Maintains adequate stock of medication and supplies, uses safety precautions when stocking; ensures proper filling techniques are used when preparing medications.
Disseminates any information (drug shortages, availability, pricing, etc.) in a timely manner to the pharmacist and peers.
Re-establishes priorities based on workload and pharmacist's directions.
Ensures insurance adjudication and pre-authorizations are processed in a timely manner.
Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
Keep other care team members informed when situations occur that disrupts timely patient flow through site.
Demonstrate an understanding of 340B regulations, inventory management and managing a point-of-sale (POS) system.
Adhere to patient care needs and the core values of Premier Community HealthCare to a provide best-in-class patient experience.
Work towards attaining department goals and drive Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA).

Process and resubmit claims to third party payers and 340B accurately, in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical duties, as assigned by Pharmacist-in-Charge.
Assist and support the pharmacy department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
Maintain knowledge of Care Resource, 340B policies and file claims for shipment overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving pharmaceuticals.
Assist Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and other pharmacists in developing and maintaining good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers to grow market share opportunities.
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance of the pharmacy department, by ensuring the pharmacy department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, an orderly condition and appearance.
