POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Tech I performs a variety of routine maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks that support the safe and reliable operation of healthcare facilities. Working under direct supervision and in accordance with established departmental procedures, regulatory standards, and life safety requirements, the technician assists in maintaining building systems, equipment, and the physical environment. The technician is expected to use hand tools, power tools, measurement devices, and test instruments safely and efficiently while demonstrating professionalism and accountability.

1. Performs requested repairs, arrives on time for the scheduled appointment, and represents Cantata in a professional manner at all times (while working for the customer in their home, as well as when driving the company vehicle; and interacting with the public in the community at large).
2. Works effectively with the Cantata at Home (CAH) and other appropriate staff in communicating in a timely fashion information regarding: work projects, timely submission of invoices, hours worked, bills for materials, gas and mileage reports, customer's comments, notes of possible potential maintenance or preventative maintenance projects, provides the customer with a Company business card and other appropriate information regarding the Company; and follows up when requested by CAH.
3. Works independently with little supervision and keeps track of receipts for items purchased for each job address, checks computer and/or voicemail for updates on job assignments; and works with CAH to prioritize projects and establish efficient driving routes to customers' homes.
4. Practices safety and uses standard precautions when operating power and manual tools. Observes traffic laws, follows written and verbal instructions, and reports any problems, accidents, or concerns to the CAH Manager.
5. When working for the Company, you will consistently and specifically adhere to Company policy regarding conflict of interest; and will not represent any other construction or maintenance company to our customers. In certain situations, when the Company cannot accommodate the client's request, other appropriate maintenance/repair/construction companies may be suggested to the client, at the discretion of the CAH Manager.
6. Creates and maintains an atmosphere of trust, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment when working in the homes of our customers.
7. Consistently demonstrates ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner.

Essential Job Functions
Provide thorough and accurate trouble shooting and repair of medical vacuum pumps and air compressors (1.5-25HP)
Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, test and adjust
Perform regular preventive maintenance on various manufacturers pumps and compressors
Understand operating manuals for preventative maintenance service
Knowledge of control panels and ability to work inside cabinets with rated voltages of 208-460
Use of a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor
Consult/assist in sales, as necessary
Pass along leads to the respective Sales Representative when received
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Wear proper safety garments
May require travel to other markets to supply support to other service personnel in facilitating scheduling and completing repair/PM service work orders
Utilize Field Aware system for job scheduling, job tracking and time reporting

Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
