The IT Asset Disposition Sorter plays a crucial role in Securis' mission to responsibly manage end-of-life IT assets. This position is responsible for manually sorting and categorizing disassembled electronic equipment and materials to ensure they are directed to the correct processing streams for recycling or secure destruction. The Sorter must work with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced warehouse environment while following safety protocols and maintaining an organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and identify incoming IT materials, manually separating and categorizing components.
Categorize and place items into appropriate bins or containers for recycling or destruction.
Remove non-conforming items to maintain accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Follow all physical security and safety protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Skills Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately identify and sort various electronic components.
Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for long periods and handling loads in a warehouse environment.
Technical Understanding: Basic knowledge of IT hardware preferred.
Safety Commitment: Strong adherence to safety and security standards.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse staff to meet goals.
Communication: Clear communication skills for reporting issues or discrepancies.

Job Summary
The Sorter is responsible for properly identifying, placing, and sorting materials on the conveyor line while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Inspect materials and sort items into designated piles or containers according to type, size, condition, color, or paper grade.
Remove contaminants from materials and ensure cleanliness of the line and surrounding work area.
Stack boxes and skids; dump boxes and totes of material.
Feed recyclable materials (e.g., wastepaper) onto the conveyor line.
Maintain cleanliness of the conveyor, sorting line, and surrounding areas.
Monitor machine start-up screens to ensure equipment is operating properly and at a safe, steady pace.
Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation and maintenance.
Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or operational concerns.
Participate in weekly/monthly safety and operations meetings.
