The D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion is a 12-story hospital that will house 264 private rooms capable of converting to intensive care; a start-of-the-art neuroscience center; and high-level, specialty care services for cardiovascular and thoracic patients, along with advanced imaging. The 690,000-square-foot hospital which also features 20 surgical and three interventional radiology suites is being constructed adjacent to the Frankel Cardiovascular Center, with plans for bridge and tunnel connections to existing inpatient care facilities. The anticipated opening of the new D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion is fall 2025.

Responsibilities*
Provide short-term care and transport of an in-patient during intra-hospital transport for diagnostic tests and procedures. Characteristic duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Observe, monitor and document patient condition, including vital signs and report changes to the medically responsible health care professional.
* Measures, reports, and records vital signs, manually and per monitor (vital signs are to be taken as prescribed or by protocol).
* Informs responsible nurse immediately of abnormal findings.
* Must be able to identify the following arrhythmias:
* Asystole
* Ventricular fibrillation
* Ventricular tachycardia
* Tachy-arrhythmias
* Brady-arrhythmias
* Artifact
* Multiple PVCs
* Document findings on the SWAT nursing flow sheet and centricity as outlined in the Documentation Policy.
* Provide for the safety of self, patients and others by adherence to the hospital?s safety guidelines, policies, and practices.
* Uses equipment correctly, per unit policy.
* Clean equipment and work area.
* Transport, ambulate, move and lift patients.
* Assist in positioning patients for procedures, i.e., MRI, CT scanners, ultrasound, etc.
* Provide comfort measures for patients to include provision of blankets, hot/cold packs, pillows, etc.
Required Qualifications*
* DAY/NIGHT POSITION: 6A-6P & 6P-6A (weekend and holiday requirements)
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Current Michigan Licensure as an A-EMT.
* 2 years recent (within one year) experience as a paramedic
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
* Demonstrated leadership skills as evidenced by progressive responsibility in ED / pre-hospital setting.
* Excellent clinical skills including but not limited to IV insertion, veni-puncture, and arrhythmia recognition.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure of emergency situations.
* Current Basic Life Support Provider verification.
* Able to make a minimum of one-year commitment to SWAT program
* Advanced cardiac Life Support Provider (ACLS).
* Clinical pediatric experience.
Licensure & Certification
Current licensure as a Paramedic (A-EMT) by the State of Michigan is necessary.

Key Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments in the home environment: vital signs, health history, home safety, risk factors, etc.
Provide in-home follow-up care post-hospitalization or after urgent care visits to prevent complications and readmissions.
Deliver patient education on disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle improvements, and social determinants of health (e.g. nutrition, housing, etc.).
Work under clinical protocols to treat/manage health issues, escalate when necessary, consult virtually with advanced providers (NPs, RNs, physicians).
Coordinate care: schedule or facilitate follow-ups, referrals, community resources, and linkages with other health or social services.
Document all care, assessments, and patient encounters thoroughly, using the organization's mobile electronic patient care record (ePCR) system.
Participate in internal meetings, trainings, and continuous quality improvement activities.
Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications
Valid Paramedic certification/license in the applicable state, in good standing.
Minimum of 2-5 years paramedic / prehospital experience; experience in community paramedicine or similar mobile health / MIH models is strongly preferred.
BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred where applicable.
Excellent clinical assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently in the field, manage time well, adapt to changing schedules, and problem-solve in diverse home settings.

Full-Time EMT - Saline, MI - Second Shift We are seeking skilled and proactive EMTs to join our Medical Response Team at a large construction project in Saline, MI. This full-time role is ideal for professionals who thrive in an occupational health, safety, and construction-site environment and want to directly impact the daily well-being of workers onsite.
In this position, you will provide rapid response to medical incidents and play a key role in promoting a safe, healthy work environment when not actively responding to injuries.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmergency Response & Care
First Response: Serve as the first responder to all injuries, illnesses, and medical incidents onsite, providing immediate and effective care.
Quick Response Bag: Maintain a fully stocked, within-arm's-reach quick response bag at all times.
Incident Triage: Administer first aid or determine when referral to an Occupational Health Clinic or Emergency Room is necessary.
Escort & Support: Escort employees to external medical providers when needed for further evaluation.
Follow-Up Monitoring: Conduct follow-up checks to ensure employees are adhering to work restrictions and progressing toward recovery.
Incident Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed logs of all injuries and incidents for project reporting and compliance.
Proactive Health, Wellness & Safety Engagement
This is not a role where you sit and wait for incidents.
When not actively treating or triaging an injury, you will be highly visible and proactive around the construction site:
Promote injury prevention and safe work practices through daily interactions with crews.
Conduct walk-throughs to observe work zones and identify opportunities for safety reinforcement.
Engage workers in conversations about hydration, fatigue management, PPE use, and overall wellbeing.
Support site leadership in reinforcing a strong safety culture and provide reminders about risk-prone behaviors.
Look for opportunities to educate on proper lifting techniques, stretching, early reporting of discomfort, and other preventive strategies.
Your presence onsite should contribute to a culture where workers feel supported and comfortable approaching you for concerns, questions, or early signs of discomfort.
Qualifications
Active EMT Certification (EMT or EMT-B) in Michigan
Experience in emergency medical care or occupational first aid response
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with workers, foremen, and safety leadership
Excellent organizational skills for maintaining detailed logs and documentation

Document all care, assessments, and patient encounters thoroughly, using the organization's mobile electronic patient care record (ePCR) system.

How you will contribute
You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.

You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, management of donor adverse events, review of laboratory test results, and donor notification of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
How you will contribute
You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
