Some details about this position:
No Dialysis experience is required.
Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic
Potential to float to various clinics during and after your training
You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
What you can expect:
Direct Patient Care. Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.
Our PCTs care for multiple patients.
Technician Duties. To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.
Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
Team. Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of a RN.

Must be comfortable working around blood and needles

Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet so wear comfortable shoes! Our work ends when it's safe for our patients.
Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
Health care experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

DEPARTMENT: ANESTHESIOLOGY FACILITY: Tift Regional Medical Center WORK TYPE: Full Time SHIFT: Daytime The Anesthesia Tech is responsible for assisting with both clinical and clerical duties of the Anesthesia unit, assisting the professional staff in delivery of quality care to a varied patient population, coordinating communications while assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and the provision of safety assigned to patients. In addition, the Anesthesia Tech provides customer service to patient's families, visitors, physicians, coworkers, and other medical and non-medical personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development and the skills necessary to provide care to the age of the patient, neonate through geriatric.
* Performs and documents pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient, including all appropriate lab values, study results, consultative information, and pre-anesthesia clinical history.
* Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain.
* Utilizing appropriate pain management techniques.
* Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
* Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likely hood of medical/healthcare errors.

DEPARTMENT: OBSTETRICS FACILITY: Tift Regional Medical Center WORK TYPE: Full Time SHIFT: Nighttime HOURS: 7p-7a The Surgical Technician Is responsible for delivering quality care to varied patient population in the Operating Room. He/she cares for sub-acute, convalescent, and chronic patients, assists Registered Nurses in the care of the acutely ill, observes and records effects of medications, and observes and reports patient reactions to treatments or any unusual conditions. In addition, they also assist medical staff with advanced medical/nursing treatments, and contribute to patient assessment and evaluation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Adheres to the policy for proper identification of patients and patient samples.
* Appropriately demonstrates competency and understanding of all methods of sterilization including EO, steam and sterrad. Removes sterile items from autoclave and completes log accurately.
* Counts sponges, instruments, needles and sharps with circulating nurse in accordance with OR policy and procedure. Utilizes dry erase board to visualize on-going counts.
* Demonstrates the ability to account for the completeness of each instrument used on each case.
* Follows Policy and Procedure on transferring medications to sterile field.
* When assigned as second scrub per room assists with keeping following cases pulled and ready. Assists RN during case when not scrubbed.
* Assists with positioning patients when needed.
* Assists with transferring patients, uses correct body mechanics.
* Allows alcohol base to dry before placing drapes on patient. Does not allow to puddle (Chloraprep).
* Keeps physicians pick sheets current by reporting changes to the circulating or specialty nurses.
* Reports all pertinent information to circulating nurse and supervisor concerning patients, procedures, and problems occurring during work time.
* Verifies specimens and cultures with physician. Confirms information with circulating nurse.
* Participates in Time Out immediately prior to surgery, ensuring a definite pause in activity. All scrub duties must STOP during time-out.
* Applies sterile dressing and cleans patient appropriately post-procedure.
* Removes contaminated drape and clears back tables at the end of each case.
* Cleans out OR suite and restocks unused supplies.
* Practices sterile techniques at all times. Calls attention professionally to breaks in technique.
