Process PTO payouts for terminations or transfers per policy or CBA. Maintain accurate leave records and updates. Benefits Support Process benefit deductions for medical, dental, retirement, FSA/HSA. Coordinate changes with benefits vendors (training provided). Assist with COBRA/continuation notices and updates. Union & Contract Compliance Apply wage scales, step increases, and dues checkoffs per collective bargaining agreements. Process retro pay when required. Ensure all payroll activity is compliant with labor laws and union rules. Reporting & Reconciliations Run basic payroll reports for HR and Finance. Assist with payroll reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. Support year-end tasks including W-2 and 1099 accuracy. Systems & Administrative Support Enter updates into HRIS/timekeeping systems. Maintain accurate employee payroll files. Support internal audits and documentation reviews. Qualifications No prior payroll experience required - full training provided. Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers. Ability to handle confidential information. Basic Excel or Google Sheets skills. Organized, reliable, and able to meet weekly timelines.
