What You'll Do:
Robot Programming
Develop and manage robot I/O structures and interfaces

A Day in the Life:
Review logged internal quality issues to identify areas for improvement and develop means to eliminate issues from occurring (RCA's)
Spend time on the plant floor observing all aspects of manufacturing and identify and improve manufacturing waste.
Collaborate, organize, and lead multi-team departmental Kaizen events to improve workstation organization, overall workflow, and throughput.

Overview
This is a highly impactful, hands-on engineering role ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys both complex electrical/controls work and mechanical troubleshooting. This position is not limited to one discipline - the engineer will be responsible for Electrical, Mechanical, and IndustrialEngineering design and support across two production facilities.
You will work closely with our retiring BSEE Manufacturing Equipment Engineer during a multi-month transition period to ensure continuity, knowledge transfer, and confidence in taking full ownership of all plant systems.
This engineer will spend a significant amount of time on the production floor working with specialized OEM equipment, troubleshooting issues, upgrading systems, and driving improvements across molding operations, expanders, block molds, shape molds, steam/temperature-controlled systems, and related automation.

A Day in the Life:
No two days are ever the same in this role.
Tasks can include:
Training operators in proper process, tool usage, and tool maintenance.
Collaborating with other engineering teams on process efficiency, quality, and safety improvement projects.
Developing new designs using 3D modeling software like Solidworks for carts or production tools. Then work with the fab shops to complete the fabrication of them in a timely manner.
Work closely with contractors to coordinate utility needs such as air and electrical drops, and oversee the installation of new equipment.
Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks on machinery.
Troubleshoot machines whenever the team needs extra support.
Provide hands-on support to production lines as needed.

A Day in the Life:
Review logged internal quality issues to identify areas for improvement and develop means to eliminate issues from occurring (RCA's)
Spend time on the plant floor observing all aspects of manufacturing and identify and improve manufacturing waste.
Collaborate, organize, and lead multi-team departmental Kaizen events to improve workstation organization, overall workflow, and throughput.
Majority of the day will be spent on the production floor, observing and implementing permanent solutions to Safety, Quality, and Production issues.
Works with Safety, Quality, and Production teams to plan out and implement process improvements.
Implement error-proofing processes to ensure consistent high-quality products for end users.

A Day in the Life:
No two days are ever the same in this role.
Tasks can include:
Training operators in proper process, tool usage, and tool maintenance.
Collaborating with other engineering teams on process efficiency, quality, and safety improvement projects.
Developing new designs using 3D modeling software like Solidworks for carts or production tools. Then work with the fab shops to complete the fabrication of them in a timely manner.
Working closely with contractors to coordinate utility needs such as air and electrical drops, and oversee the installation of new equipment.
Coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks on machinery.
Troubleshooting machines whenever the team needs extra support.
Providing hands-on support to production lines as needed.
Completing hands-on testing for new process changes
