SUMMARY
Under general supervision, is responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention in accordance with ADAPT policies, the regulations and requirements of applicable regulatory agencies and standards of the profession. Monitors treatment plans and progress. Conveys intervention techniques to others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Behavior Intervention Specialist, will include, but are not limited to the following:
Reviews psychological assessment on individuals as needed in areas of intelligence and adaptive behavior and can furnish this information to interested parties when requested.
Develops a treatment plan and goals based on an assessment.
Provides psychological services as prescribed by treatment plan in areas of behavior management, psychological counseling, crisis intervention, etc.
Integrates therapeutic intervention techniques into programs or home of person served through consultation with parent/guardian and staff at team meetings, case conferences or through other informal contacts.
Records progress on all active cases in therapy, monitors therapy status and makes appropriate recommendations as changes occur.
Develops a behavior plan for clients on psychotropic medication with a goal of decreasing their medication and reports to the human rights committee regarding behavior management, informed consent and psychotropic medication management.
Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews for purposes of planning, implementation and monitoring of individual plans.
Participates in pre-admission evaluations.
Assists with other duties such as arrival and dismissal, feeding, using the restroom, and classroom management as needed.
Maintains equipment and orders supplies with approval of supervisor.
Attends team meetings as scheduled.
Trains and instructs program staff in utilization of goals, behavior management, interpretation of test results, etc.
May require reviewing and co-signing of restrictive or SCIP-R plans.
Keeps abreast of changes in field.
Performs other related duties as requested.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of standard psychometric assessment instruments i.e. Wechsler series, Stanford Binet Demonstrate sound judgement and the capacity to respond to unusual situations.
Good personal computer skills and knowledge of appropriate software.
Must be willing to work at various program sites.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in psychology.
At least five years creating behavior support plans with the developmentally disabled.
BCBA credential or courses that involve knowledge of applied behavior analysis.
COMPENSATION: $35/hour - $40/hour + Industry-Leading Benefits for all full-time employees. $1,500 bonus in the first year

Lauderdale caring for children ages 12-17. The position will help support our house parents by helping meet physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the children being served. The position hours are 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional weekend coverage. Duties:

Provide one-to-one supervision and intervention during therapeutic activities
Provide skills training in accordance with the treatment plan for restoration of basic living and social skills

Provide support in implementing TBRI principles
Provide therapeutic behavioral support services on-site in primarily one-to-one interactions

We are seeking a ABA/ RBTs to join our team! We are a small agency located in Lincoln Park that primarily serves families with state funded insurance (e.g. Medicaid). We are seeking staff for Lincoln Park, Rogers Park, and Niles.
ABA therapists will be responsible for implementing behavior analytic procedures designed by a Board Certified BehaviorAnalyst. Positions are part-time and based in-home and/or at our clinic in Lincoln Park. Staff will be responsible for implementing one-on-one ABA therapy or individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays.
Use Central Reach Essentials for data and daily note collection
Provide individual supports to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Use evidence-based treatment methods prescribed by the BCBA to facilitate group and individual treatment
Assist with teaching Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills such as toilet training, dressing, eating, functional communication, and behavior reduction.
Work with a team of professionals and be open to suggestions from supervisors and fellow staff
Obtain and Maintain RBT certification within 90 days
Qualifications
Highschool degree, associates degree in similar field
