WE LOVE OUR WORK. SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Steakhouse Hostess to greet and seat all incoming patrons. The hostess will additionally assist Servers as needed according to business levels. To reflect venue's upscale environment, the Steakhouse Hostess's conduct must be refined. Must be outgoing with the ability to engage and entertain guests. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Greets guests in a timely manner. Initiates conversation with guests. * Operate cash register: take money and make change, as required. * Complete assigned opening and closing side work. * Provides Red Carpet Service to every patron and employee. * Must work well under pressure, and meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines. * Adhere to all corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines. * Keeps tables neat and orderly by removing glassware no longer in use. Clears and resets tables for next seating. * Adheres to all responsible alcohol serving requirements as dictated by the state; requests identification from guests ordering alcohol when legal age is questionable. * Anticipates guest needs when possible. * Communicates with servers, bartenders and managers regarding guest requests. * Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff. * May be required to answer questions when a manager is not available. * Must at all times demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, co-workers and leadership. * Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management. FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME AVAILABLE As a Sportsbook Host/Hostess you will, Shift: Varies | Pay: $14 per hour plus tips * Provides fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and restaurant staff. Greets, and makes welcome, each guest entering restaurant. * Seats guests in restaurant as per specified rotation requirements. * Maintains proper seating and reservation documentation. * Monitors restaurant for table availability. * Keeps designated working area clean and organized; wipes and assists in maintaining cleanliness of dining room, including cashiering area, as necessary or required, in accordance with established health and safety standards. * Assists wait staff and bus persons in their duties (e.g., refills water glasses and coffee cups, helps pre-bus and bus tables, attends to guest needs) as necessary, or required. * Completes all assigned closing duties at end of shift. * Knows and promotes current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas. * Thanks customers, invites them back, wishes them luck, and makes it easy for them to get back in play. WE LOVE OUR WORK. * Provide cashiering services for guests of the restaurant. * Receive cash or credit card from guests in payment for goods and services. * Computes bill on P.O.S. System or adding machine, makes change, and issues receipt. * Coordinate activities of dining room personnel engaged in providing courteous and prompt service to guests. * Coordinates and controls the flow of the Restaurant. * Interacts between service staff and guests when difficult situations arise. * Deliver food and beverage items per guest request according to established service standards and to satisfy the guest. * Assures all tables are clean and properly set in accordance with company standards. * May be required to know value and descriptions of all menu items. * May give refunds or credit memorandums as directed by Supervisor/Manager. * Answer any guest-related questions in accordance with company standards. * Answer the telephone in a professional manner. * Stock and prep areas for guest service needs on a continual basis. * Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room and all areas before, during, and after service. * Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. * Initiates a positive guest experience when working any frontline station or in public contact by providing a welcome and/or greeting, making eye contact, describing food offerings, smiling, and bidding a warm farewell and good luck, etc. * All other duties as assigned.
