The objective of the On-Call Guest Service Ambassador (In-Room Dining) is to provide friendly, courteous and professional in-room dining service to guests while maintaining high level of service as per Langham Hospitality Group and Forbes standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
Telephone Sales Agent:
Promptly answer guests' calls, announce any specials, promote menu items and answer questions regarding preparation methods. Menu knowledge is important.
Document orders; repeat items back to callers to ensure accuracy and quote expected arrival time per set standards with speed and accuracy.
Input order information into POS, allowing culinary staff to begin preparation; note any special requests clearly.
Assist service staff during peak periods by preparing service trays and generally assisting with all efforts to ensure prompt delivery.
Respond to guest complaints in a positive manner, negotiate a compromise and implement a solution satisfactory to the guest.
Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/ her attention corrective action could be taken when appropriate.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
Perform other duties as requested, such as special guest requests.
Report to duty as scheduled by direct supervisor according to operating hours.
Be fully versed in all service standards.
Server:
Knowledge of menu, as well as following setup procedures.
Delivery of food and beverage items as requested by guests and removal of soiled dishes in a timely manner in accordance to set standards.
Putting together a weekly order sheet of all items needed for the week.
Cleaning and maintaining a well-organized storeroom.
Properly rotating all stock items both in the storeroom as well as the carts.
Checking the expiration dates on all items to ensure that all guests receive fresh products. Outdated items are to be removed immediately from guestrooms and storerooms and reported to the Supervisor or Banquet Chef.
Completing a guest room security check list. This will ensure that no rooms are left open.
Responsible for following the Key Procedure. This includes signing a “key issue form” stating that you acknowledge your responsibilities for the key issued to you and the procedure to be followed in the event of theft or lost key.
Help maintain the room service carts to ensure cleanliness, luxury presentation and functionality.
Attending all department meetings as well as all colleague meetings.
Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Activities include standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, handling, grasping, lifting, carrying, seeing, hearing, talking, walking. Considerable repetitive motion of hands and wrists as pertaining to pouring of drinks from bottles and shaking with shakers.
Requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Standing for 90% of work shift is required
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must have basic knowledge of food and beverages preparation.
Basic knowledge of POS systems, i.e. Micros.
Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers.
Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
Ability to read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and other staff members.
Ability to remember and promote the variety of menu items.
Ability to work stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.
Ability to operate beverage equipment: coffeemaker, iced tea machine, etc.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Any combination of education, training or experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
High school diploma preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Prior Food and Beverage experience required.
Room Service experience in a luxury hotel preferred.

TIPS certification a plus.

Listen to guest's requests with warmth, care and empathy and record preferences - specifically VIP guests.
Assist with the Cinema suite requests and Kids suite escorting requests.
Provide personalized attention to VIPs, repeat guests, and loyalty program members, ensuring their preferences are noted and prioritized - go above and beyond to ensure a memorable and personalized experience.
Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure that guest rooms are ready upon arrival and reflect their specific requests - arrange for special in-room amenities, such as welcome gifts, and personal touches.
Assisting the bell team with managing the Q-rooms and organizing/delegating luggage delivery during peak check-in/out times to ensure luggage is delivered/retrieved within 10min of checking in/out.
The Service Stylist/Guest Service Ambassador is expected to be mobile throughout the Hotel and between multiple floors.

Functions of Role:
To provide an excellent guest experience and the highest level of customer service to all JHMR guests and employees.
Answering multiple phones lines, voicemails, and emails.
The ability to quickly understand and deliver the guests needs.
Gain knowledge of all JHMR products & operations as well as essential RTP modules.
Assist JHMR guests with selecting the products that best meet their expectations and goals.
Increase revenue through cross selling and up selling all JHMR profit centers and JHRL properties.
Understand operations and sales procedures for lift tickets, season passes, rentals, all Mountain Sports School and all Kids Ranch products.
Understand what each location at JHMR can provide to JHMR guests.
Accurately receive guest payment through credit card, gift card, or correct voucher/Jshop redemption.

The schedule for this position is every Thursday, Friday, & Saturday, 11:30am-8pm. This is a set schedule.
Serves Texas Roadhouse, Bubbas33, and Jaggers guests by answering inquiries, resolving problems,
fulfilling requests and maintaining the Guest Relations database. Other responsibilities include but not
limited to:
• Answer Guest Relations calls conveying care and concern
• Take detailed, accurate notes on all guest calls using the Guest Relations ServiceNow
application
• Employ critical thinking skills, de-escalation, and available resources to correctly address guest
concerns in a timely manner
• Use discretion in deciding when to redirect sensitive guest issues to the correct department
when appropriate (Risk, Public Relations, Employee Relation, Crisis Team, etc.)
• When requested by restaurant management, advise on obtaining successful guest resolutions
• Utilize Guest Relations database reporting tools to provide critical follow up communication to
restaurant partners
• Assist guests in reconciliation of gift card issues
• Respond to social media for guest recovery opportunities
• Read and review all concerns that are submitted via the TXRH website to classify and assign
correctly
• Follow up with stores, Market Partners and guests for open cases past 48 hours
• Support full time team members case regions as needed

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Six months to one-year experience in restaurant operations, hospitality or guest services.

SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests
• Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity
• Promptly and effectively deals with guest requests and complaints
• Answers and routes calls as appropriate; takes guest messages with accuracy
• Responsible for cash drawer contents and transactions during shift
• Maintains accurate records including cash flows, registration card, reservation cards, and property walks
• Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager
• Offers and properly handles requests for wake-up calls
• Records pertinent guest information in the pass-on log • Replenishes continental breakfast as needed and keeps area clean
• Ensures common area/lobby is clean
• Performs laundry functions as directed
• All other duties as assigned
What we are looking for:
0 - 1+ year of customer service experience
Passionate about hospitality and creating an exceptional guest experience.
Ability to handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.
