DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will supervise the daily work of the institution's dental staff and be responsible for all aspects of the clinical dental services provided to the inmate population, including periodic examinations, diagnosing oral diseases, and treating injuries. You will provide basic dental care and perform all dental treatment; assist specialists in the performance of treatment and related duties while on-site; and assure that adequate security, tool control, and Toxic and Caustic Control are carried out within the dental office. You will also consult with and refer inmate patients to physicians, oral surgeons, and other health care professionals.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Part-time employment, up to 30 hours per week
* The work schedule is to be determined. You will not be required to work weekends.

* Hourly rate: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $81.44 (before taxes).

Duties Description Creedmoor Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Dentist 1 to provide professional dental services to individuals with mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.
As a Dentist 1 you will perform a full range of professional dental tasks including:

Position Summary

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will provide comprehensive dental care, including exams, treatments, and ongoing oral health services for individuals in our community. Your work will align with the principles of preventive and corrective dentistry while adhering to all facility licensing standards. You will ensure that individuals receive appropriate dental care, whether at the center, in a hospital operating room, or by outside specialists. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to the safe completion of all dental procedures and prepare annual dental summaries for each resident. This role requires a high degree of independence, involving decision-making related to clinical practice, scheduling, and the administrative functions of the dental department.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Part-time employment
* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch.
* Overtime may be required as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
* Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
* Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Special Requirement:
* You must possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
Other Requirements:
* PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
* You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:

* This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
