Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Sales Engineer, you will be a critical member of the Persistent Systems UxV/Munitions Sales team, working closely with Account and Business Development leads to solve our customers' most difficult mobile ad hoc networking (MANET) system integration challenges. You will serve as the technical lead and subject-matter expert in the development of MANET architecture for Group 1 to 5 unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and Networked Weapons. You will be responsible for all technical aspects of Wave Relay MANET solutions offered to our customers. You will also play a pivotal role in communicating technical challenges to our engineering department, helping to shape future product development with your insight into customer challenges and market needs.

Position Responsibilities
Collaborate with Account Managers to identify and create winning sales strategies with market knowledge and technical expertise.
Contribute to Sales Engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-term issues: provide information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommend options and courses of action; implement directives
Develop long-term customer relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve datalink and network issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement solutions
Support customers that are integrating Wave Relay into commercial and defense systems, ensuring they meet stringent specifications and performance requirements
Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product training
Support and respond to customer request for Bill of Materials (BOM), Requests for Information (RFI), and Request for Proposal (RPF)
Design, conduct and document technical demonstrations, including customer events and exercises
Partner with the Sales team to develop requirements documents, presentations, proposals, and ROI models, and coordinate with a team of support specialists, consultants, or project managers to execute sales objectives or to ensure that all pre-sales customer requirements are documented and transitioned
Maintain expert knowledge of Persistent Systems products to develop and present unique solutions, and maintain knowledge of emerging trends in technology and online advertising
Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering by providing feedback from information gathered during pre-sales projects
Provide guidance and requirements for customers including RF antenna solutions, physical interfaces and custom installation that meet customer requirements
Develop customer and internal staff by providing technical information and training
Work with Integration Engineers to provide the customer continuity and post-sales support
Job Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in technical sales and/or field sales
Strong familiarization with Unmanned Systems and/or Datalink Enabled Weapons
Strong understanding of network concepts such as IP routing, switching and VPN architecture
Strong understanding of Electronic Warfare and RF Characterizes
Ability to generate block diagrams, interface control diagrams (electrical, logical, software, etc.)
Knowledge of Federal, State & Local customers and contracting methods
Experience in conceptualizing, developing and presenting technical presentations to large groups of customers
Must be willing and able to travel 50% of the time to customer sites and Persistent offices
Must have a US Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
At least 5+ years' Experience in Systems Engineering
Prior industry or military experience in UAS, Loitering Munitions, and/or Network Weapons
Master's degree in engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience
The pay for this role can vary from $120,000 to $140,000 a year based on the selected individual's education and experience. Eligible for sales incentive compensation plan. As a Field Application Engineer on our VCF Advanced Services team, you will play a critical role in shaping and driving the success of our new and innovative solutions. ● Be a field facing SME on new offerings and work with the BSG sales team and Advanced Services Business Development Managers on sales campaigns.

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will provide technical, hands-on expertise to support all business opportunities for Phoenix Contact products and applications directly associated with the automation, control and networking portfolio used within the industrial automation and electronics industry. The Regional Channel Sales Engineer (SE) is a critical role within our channel/partner ecosystem. This position focuses on our Federal Partner Ecosystem and demands a strong technical leader capable of engaging with both current and potential clients, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business solutions. The SE should be a trusted advisor at all levels of an account, from C-suite executives to technical partners. They will lead, mentor, and guide teams, contributing significantly to Commvault's overall success. What you'll do…
Work as part of the Channel sales team to formulate and produce territory plans, account strategies, and sales plans including engaging specialist resources for partner lead accounts determined by the Channel Sales and SE leadership. SE will as well develop new opportunities within the assigned territory.
Anticipate technology trends and successfully build positive relationships with external partners and internal departments (sales, support, business units, product management, marketing, development), as appropriate, to ensure success during sales campaigns and/or to ensure the customer experience is extremely positive.
Adopt calling on senior level IT leadership often without account executive present at the same time and engage with the customer to qualify and understand key technical, financial, operational, and business issues that can be addressed with anyone or all of Commvault products.
Distill the pre-sales discovery into a concise message, outlining the salient technical, business, operational, and financial inefficiencies/challenges that Commvault addresses with its products.
Collaborate with the creation and presentation of a case to all business sponsors (i.e., C-level executives, technical partners, etc.) in support of the Commvault solution and our business partners.
Propose and professionally demonstrate Commvault products using presentations, existing customer solutions, white board, demo's, pilots, "proof-of-concepts", etc.
Actively participate in QBRs, making valuable contributions and technical leadership on all topics (field marketing, qualifying, etc.).
Provide technical expertise and enablement support for the channel and alliance partners as needed.
Continuously develop and maintain technical and market expertise through training, certifications, conferences, etc.
Keep senior management and relevant internal groups well informed of key issues and changes which may impact encouraged business results through business reviews and Salesforce.com documentation.
Assist with potential product or process improvements to appropriate internal groups and participate where vital in formulating innovative solutions.
Who you are…
5+ years in the software or storage industry; 3+ years of proven experience serving in a Partner/Channel pre-sales sales engineer role.
Demonstrates solid experience delivering, presenting, selling, supporting assigned Enterprise /Commercial Clients and/or territories.
Provides strong competitive knowledge.
Proven strong experience selling, architecting data management solutions (backup and recovery, data migration, replication, compliance, SRM, etc.) and assisting with Trials and Proof of Concepts.
Work in a rapid growth environment where priorities, roles and responsibilities are continuously updated to meet market and customer demands.
Experienced in participating in and establishing teams of specialists to support customers and sales cycles to successful outcomes.
Basic knowledge with common Software licensing practices (cloud, perpetual, term, maintenance)
Specialized knowledge/skills and demonstrated proficiency with at least one major open systems operating system, hypervisor, or cloud.
Enterprise application exposure or knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Exchange, db2, SharePoint, etc.
