Dr. Khan has deep expertise in knowledge acquisition, knowledge engineering, algorithm development and clinical models and analytics. She is the CMO and co-founder of Persivia which serves more than twenty five million patients nationwide by providing key insights.

Over her 20 year career she has developed a series of innovative products that help decrease medical errors and improve quality of care. She realized her passion for improved outcomes and patient safety during her residency when she led a team of about hundred clinicians to develop standardized care pathways to diagnose and treat common medical conditions. Dr. Khan’s vision of providing point-of-care decision support lead to a textbook on medical diagnostics in 2002 as well as award winning web tools for physicians. Soon after that she co-founded DiagnosisOne, an analytics company that produced clinical insights from thousands of evidence based rules by analyzing clinical data from disparate sources in real time. DiagnosisOne was later acquired by Alere a leading point of care diagnostics company.

Prior to DiagnosisOne, Dr. Khan was attending physician, and program director of Informatics, Department of Pathology at UMassMemorial Health Center, and an Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of Clinical Pathology Residency Program at UMass Medical School.
