Responsibilities
As a Home Health COTA, You will:
* Assist the OccupationalTherapist in the implementation of vocational and educational activities designed to restore and reinforce individuals' task performance and promote their overall health and self-sufficiency
* Conduct community reintegration activities to assist individuals with their occupational therapy needs during physical activity
* Provide training to individuals and any others involved in their rehabilitation, and documenting results of the training
* Support individuals' plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other treatment team members as appropriate
Qualifications
* Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
* Current OccupationalTherapistAssistant certification
* Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques
* Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions
* Current CPR certification
* Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation technique

Responsibilities
As a Home Health OccupationalTherapist, You will:
* Perform occupational therapy evaluation and treatment of patients based upon physician orders, including recommendation and procurement of adaptive equipment
* Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of independence and/or function
* Maintain communication among the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable
* Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services provided to ensure proper billing
* Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act
Qualifications
* Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE
* Current OccupationalTherapist licensure in State and American Heart Association CPR certification required; CPR certification may be offered and completed upon hire
* Two (2) years of experience in adult occupational therapy, home health experience preferred
* Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; physical therapy skills per competency checklist

Responsibilities
* Patient Care & Treatment Implementation: Assist in delivering individualized therapy based on treatment plans developed by the OccupationalTherapist, including activities to improve daily living skills (e.g., dressing, eating, mobility).
* Progress Monitoring & Documentation: Track and document patient progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with facility policies, and report changes or concerns to the OccupationalTherapist.

Qualifications
* Education: Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited school.

* Licensure: Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
* Experience: Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting (hospital, clinic, school, etc.) is preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
