Position Summary:The Transport Driver / Lowboy Driver is responsible for safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading heavy construction equipment to and from project sites. This role requires precision driving, knowledge of oversized load regulations, and the ability to work independently while supporting project teams across multiple locations. Responsibilities: Safely operate lowboy and transport trucks to move heavy construction equipment, machinery, and materials to job sites. Load, secure, and unload equipment in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards. Conduct thorough pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and trailer readiness. Maintain accurate logs, trip records, and load documentation. Communicate effectively with project teams, mechanics, and dispatch to coordinate transport schedules. Adhere to federal, state, and local transportation laws, including oversized/overweight permits and routing. Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned equipment. Promote WW Clyde's culture of safety, teamwork, and quality on every haul. Qualifications: Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. 3-7 years of experience driving lowboy or heavy haul trucks preferred. Experience with loading and securing various types of heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.). Knowledge of DOT regulations, oversized load permits, and safe hauling practices. Strong commitment to safety and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to travel to project sites across UT, AZ, and CO as required. Must be Experienced with Off highway driving in construction Sites. Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. TXDOT physical. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook as well as the state and federal requirements. Must maintain current State issued Class A /or B driver's license. Know and adhere to DOT rules and regulations. CDL Driver Position Overview This position involves daily operation and driving of a tractor-trailer combination or a single, double or tri-axel vehicle. Driver will be responsible to load and unload the truck. Requires commercial drivers' license. Under direction of the Driver Manager by performing the following duties. Primary Function: Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Depending on materials hauled, may require unloading of contents by hand or shovel Must keep truck in a clean and orderly condition Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Drive trucks including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products, equipment or other materials. Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers. Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions. Moves equipment in preparation for work readiness and job timelines. Completing, storing, and submitting all necessary documentation. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA. Job Description Summary Ready Mix Truck Drivers are responsible for delivering products to various local customer and job site locations. All deliveries are local so drivers are home every night.
