The clinic is a hybrid between a primary care clinic and an emergency department. Each patient is new and you have to appropriately evaluate them within a short period of time to ensure they are optimized for their upcoming procedure and anesthesia. All of our patients are pre-procedure patients who have an upcoming surgery or procedure requiring anesthesia at Inova. Providers independently evaluate and manage patients, but there is an attending anesthesiologist available for consults and questions on site every day in clinic.
