The Critical Care & Emergency Medicine Advanced Practitioner Fellowship Programs are a 12-month, post-graduate training program designed for physicianassistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) seeking to advance their expertise in high-acuity patient care. Advanced Practitioner Fellows participate in immersive, hands-on clinical rotations across intensive care units, emergency departments, and specialty services, gaining proficiency in advanced diagnostics, procedural skills, and evidence-based management of critically ill and emergent patients.
This program blends structured didactic education with supervised clinical practice, fostering confidence, autonomy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Advanced Practitioner Fellows work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in fast-paced, high acuity environments.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: New graduate applications accepted. Experience desired, preferably in critical care, trauma, and/or acute care setting. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required prior to hire.

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PhysicianAssistant to join our dynamic Orthopedic Spine and Extremity practice. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our renowned Orthopedic practice to provide exceptional patient care, assist in surgeries, and contribute to the overall success of our practice.
Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct thorough pre-operative and post-operative assessments of patients.
- Review patient medical histories and perform physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.
- Work up paitients and indicated injections and procedures
- mix of follow ups, new patients, telemeds, injections, and surgery (surgery assist is optional)
Treatment Planning:
- Collaborate with the Ortho-Spine and Ortho Extremity Surgeon and other PA's to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Provide patient education on treatment options, potential risks, and post-operative care.
Clinical Support:
- Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor patients' progress and address any concerns.
- Manage and update patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Assist in the coordination of patient care, including referrals and consultations.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physical therapists, and radiologists.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing questions and concerns.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
Continuous Professional Development:
- Stay current with advancements in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited PhysicianAssistant or NP program.
- Current NJ state license and certification as a PhysicianAssistant OR NURSE PRACTITIONER.
- Previous experience in Orthopedic Surgery, However, we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Department of PhysicianAssistant Studies (12 Month Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor) - the M.S. in PhysicianAssistant Studies Program graduates PAs who provide evidence-based, equitable health care to diverse populations and who value service to others as well as life-long learning. Faculty responsibilities performed during the twelve-month period include, but are not limited to: teaching clinical foundational courses within the PASP curriculum; evaluating and monitoring student progress; participating in admissions processes, including interviews and selecting applicants; participating in scholarship; participating in program assessment and evaluation; advising students; maintaining office hours; and working collaboratively with core faculty, administrators, the Dean of the College of Health Professions and Human Services, Enrollment Services and other departments within the University.
