Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and symptoms
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with other healthcare providers

Compensation and Benefits:
Our compensation is a productivity-based model (Fee for Service) that offers you control to maximize your income potential. Expected compensation is estimated salary range of $138,000 to $164,000 annually with no cap on productivity income potential. This full-time role is benefit eligible.

Your services support the Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations program. Veterans are scheduled for appointments at contracted facilities for compensation and pension exams and embeds practitioners in facilities as needs warrant. Dedicated facilities are in areas where there is a large Veteran population with the potential for high volume.
The compensation and pension exam helps the VA answer questions about Veterans? current health. The practitioners will not decide the percent of disability or rating, develop treatment plans, or prescribe medication.
Completed documentation is sent to the VA for final determination on all disability claims.
Prior to the exam, the practitioner reviews a Veteran?s medical or mental health history, using electronic bookmarks that highlight the portions applicable to the Veteran?s claimed condition.
The practitioner is guided through a web-based examination form in Provider Portal to capture the Veteran?s responses during the exam.
Electronic exam documentation is known as a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) and must be submitted promptly within 48 hours of each appointment.
The number of DBQs completed per exam will vary based on the Veteran?s claimed conditions.
Administrative time is provided to complete exam documentation and ensure timely submission.
The documentation is reviewed by a team of medical professionals to ensure contract compliance and guarantee the verbiage aligns with customer requirements.
Requests for changes or corrections to exam documentation must be submitted within 48 hours of the appointment.
Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams for Veterans.
The Practitioner will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form; all documentation will be completed electronically.
Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
General Medical take 45 minutes to several hours, depending on number of disabilities being claimed; Practitioner will be provided an approximate appointment length estimate for each scheduled exam, based on the Veteran?s claim(s)
General Medical Exams:
Common exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory
Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby
Education/Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a master?s degree in Nursing (NP) or successfully completed an approved PhysicianAssistant (PA) program.
Primary care experience is required. Qualified candidates must be actively licensed and able to work independently and as part of a team, have good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations. Candidates must possess basic computer skills.
*Compensation exam or VA experience is preferred, but not required. Module Training is provided.

Job Responsibilities:

* Review and Analyze Medical Records: Assess medical records, diagnostic test results, and other pertinent documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of the

* Render Objective Medical Opinions: Based on the medical examination findings, diagnostic results, and medical record review, provide unbiased and evidence-based medical opinions regarding the extent of the veteran's health issues and their impact on their ability to work and carry out daily activities.
* Responsibility to understand and work in case management system, including organizing workload, submitting examination findings, and corresponding with the Quality Assurance Team.
* Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, specialists, and experts as needed to obtain additional medical information and insights for a thorough evaluation.

* All employees with access to patient data are expected to have a thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance. HIPAA compliance ensures covered entities understand and take steps to prevent the risks that could compromise patient data. It establishes key safeguards for keeping sensitive data safe. Employees with access to patient data are required to pass an annual assessment that tests HIPAA compliance basic knowledge. Failure to complete the assessment with a minimal passing score could result in additional training with re-testing, reassignment, or separation.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Education and Licensing: Graduated from an accredited PhysicianAssistant program. A valid and unrestricted PhysicianAssistant license from, and is not barred from practicing in any of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, or a Commonwealth, territory, or possession of the United States.
* Required at least 1 year of experience working as a PhysicianAssistant
* Experience: Previous experience in conducting medical disability examinations or a related field is preferred
* Basic Life Support certification required, including renewals .

Northwest Specialty is seeking a Supervising provider to Lead our Axis Spine Team! We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to take on a leadership role supervising Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and PhysicianAssistants (PAs). This position will focus on overseeing clinical operations, monitoring patient volumes, and guiding advanced practice providers to optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality of care.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
* Current licensure in the State of Idaho
* Graduate of a master's degree program of Medicine or Nursing
* Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification upon hire
* Must be able to achieve ACLS certification within six months of employment
* Family Medicine experience preferred
Essential Functions:
* Conduct routine check-ins with Nurse Practitioners and PhysicianAssistants to review workflow, clinical issues, and performance.
* Perform annual and interim performance evaluations with clear goals and feedback.
* Monitor adherence to scope of practice, clinical guidelines, organizational policies, and regulatory standards.
* Serve as the primary clinical resource for NPs and PAs, providing mentorship and real-time guidance.
* Review treatment plans and patient care trends to ensure evidence-based, high-quality care delivery.
* Facilitate peer-review activities and create corrective action plans when needed.
