Overview:
As a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer at Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS), you'll play a crucial role in the diagnosis and management of fetuses, children and adults with congenital heart disease.
Our Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiology program is the state leader in congenital heart disease - providing comprehensive surgical, interventional and ambulatory care to patients with all forms of congenital heart disease. We perform more than 250 congenital cardiac surgeries and interventional cardiac catheterizations each year and continue to grow.
As a non-academic institution, Echocardiographers at Presbyterian are on the front lines of congenital heart disease care - frequently providing the initial diagnostic assessment of patients with undiagnosed congenital heart disease and working with physicians to ensure each patient receives a comprehensive echocardiogram. Sonographers also participate in all OR and cath lab imaging - in addition to providing inpatient echocardiograms and clinic-based echocardiograms.
We're currently offering:
• Sign-on bonus of $20,000

Responsibilities:
Echocardiography imaging: Perform comprehensive, diagnostic images using 2D, 3D, color imaging to evaluate the structure and function of the heart.
Patient care: Ensure each echo is done in a patient-centered, comfortable and safe environment. Sonographers explain the process to patients and alert physicians of critical findings or changes in patient condition that require further evaluation.
Reporting: Prepare preliminary echo reports including relevant measurements.
Outreach: Willingness to participate in outreach clinics up to once a month, including potential overnight stays at clinics that serve rural locations in NM with no other access to congenital cardiac care.
Call: Participate in weeknight and weekend call. Sonographers take "Home Call" with call pay.
On average, sonographers are called in overnight approximately once a month. Weekend call is typically 2-6 echoes on Saturdays and Sundays, and triaged by the on call pediatric cardiologist.
Collaboration: Work as a team with fellow sonographers and physicians to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal imaging for every patient.
Equipment maintenance: Assist echo lab managers with maintaining equipment and performing quality control.
Continuing Education: Participate in educational sessions to ensure we provide the most up-to-date care to our patients.
Qualifications:
Level I - Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer:
Experience:
• One (1) to nine (9) years of experience in inpatient/outpatient cardiac ultrasound.
Education:
Graduate of a two (2) year Allied Health Training Program in Ultrasound Technology-OR-
graduate of bachelors program in health science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing)-OR-
graduate of an accredited program in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) preferred but not required
Licensure/Certifications:
New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT) required
Current BLS required
RDCS AE (Adult) -OR- RCS (adults echo) -AND- RDCSPE(peds echo) -OR- RCCS (cardiac congenital), -OR- Must pass registry exam for ARDMS PE or CCI RCCS within 18 months of hire.
ACS is a plus.

This is an exciting opportunity to have a long-term, versatile practice in a beautiful ski, mountain bike & active outdoors community.
Busy Upper Extremity Orthopedic surgery practice with Dr. Patrick Olson (******************************************* with a subspecialty in elbow, wrist, and hand surgery as well as general orthopedic trauma.
3-4 days per week will be with Dr. Olson primarily in Park City and the other 1-2 days a week will be dedicated towards working in our new orthopedic urgent care in Salt Lake.
The candidate should be comfortable with (or be willing to be trained in) the following skills: first assisting with surgery and in all aspects of surgical care including pre-op and post-operative treatment.
The candidate needs to be willing to run her or his own clinic with guidance/supervision.
Clinic duties including basic EMR expertise, casting, splinting, placement and removal of stitches, dressing changes, joint injections, pre-procedure anesthetic injections, prepping, assisting, and closing of minor in-office hand surgical procedures, and processing of surgical instruments.
Clinic will be 3-4 days a week and surgery 1-2 days a week.
This schedule is subject to change.
Time will be split between Park City at the hospital and surgical center as well as Salt Lake (for our clinic and urgent care) with occasional trips to Heber for trauma call.
Call requirements include clinic call (essentially patient phone calls) and trauma call cases with Dr. Olson for nights/weekends (added bonuses with these requests).
Winter months are typically busy with trauma as Park City is a ski town with plenty of ski trauma.

Echocardiography imaging: Perform comprehensive, diagnostic images using 2D, 3D, color imaging to evaluate the structure and function of the heart.
Patient care: Ensure each echo is done in a patient-centered, comfortable and safe environment. Sonographers explain the process to patients and alert physicians of critical findings or changes in patient condition that require further evaluation.
Reporting: Prepare preliminary echo reports including relevant measurements.
Outreach: Willingness to participate in outreach clinics up to once a month, including potential overnight stays at clinics that serve rural locations in NM with no other access to congenital cardiac care.
Call: Participate in weeknight and weekend call. Sonographers take "Home Call" with call pay.
On average, sonographers are called in overnight approximately once a month. Weekend call is typically 2-6 echoes on Saturdays and Sundays, and triaged by the on call pediatric cardiologist.
Collaboration: Work as a team with fellow sonographers and physicians to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal imaging for every patient.
Equipment maintenance: Assist echo lab managers with maintaining equipment and performing quality control.

Experience:

Physician assistant job in Salt Lake City, UT
This is a full time inpatient based position that is responsible for duties at both the University of Utah and Huntsman Cancer Hospital under the Division of Urology. The primary responsibilities include care of the inpatient population in the form of post-operative patient discharge orders, organizing patient education and coordination of care with outpatient teams including follow up appointments. The candidate will be responsible for inpatient consultations for various urological conditions in coordination with the urology residents and staff. Part of these consultations may include minor procedures depending upon urologic work experience or developed skills. Other responsibilities would include hospital admissions, including orders and coordinating care with other specialties and nursing staff. The candidate would be expected to become an expert in the field of urology with a good understanding of the various urologic diseases and management. As the candidate progresses, opportunity to progress will be granted as well. This may include potential OR first assisting at the University of Utah with the robotics program within urology. The candidate needs to have strong organizational skills, an ability to work independently within a system and be able to adapt to changing time schedules. Continued learning and growth is highly valued. As such, continued education, conferences, skill development are required. Responsibilities
1. Approximately 50% time spent at the University of Utah and 50% time spent at Huntsman Cancer Hospital. Adjustable dependent upon need. (i.e. - as surgical responsibilities increase) 2. Takes complex medical histories on inpatients referred for consultation by academic and community physicians. 3. Performs physical examinations. 4. Orders laboratory tests, imaging studies and other diagnostic procedures. 5. Reach diagnosis of medical, surgical and other conditions. 6. Develops treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management. 7. Counsel and educate patients. 8. Participates in continuing medical education to include specialty and sub-specialty meetings, clubs, boards and conferences. 9. Orders consultations and interacts with members of other specialty medical teams. 10. Participates in special projects and committee functions. 11. Perform inpatient Urology procedures. 12. Potential to provide Surgical 1st assisting on robotic cases at the University of Utah urology cases. 13. Assistphysicians in education and training new medical residents and other APCs. Minimum Qualifications
Required: Current licensure to practice as a Physician's Assistant from the State of Utah. Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Preferred: Certification in ACLS / BLS / NRP / ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
