As a Clinical Psychologist at Pine Rest, you'll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. Within the framework of the organization is responsible to be a professional caregiver who provides assessment, counseling, treatment and gives referrals and advocacy services for patients. Is also responsible for upholding the highest quality care, keeping with all standards and bylaws set by government agencies as well as Pine Rest. The Clinical Psychologist is dedicated to excellent customer service, enthusiastic about the care we offer, and foster a sense of belonging and empowerment in a diverse workplace. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Participates in the interviewing of persons served and assessing them through mental status as well as reviewing records obtained from other patient care staff. Selects and completes appropriate therapeutic interventions based upon clinical knowledge base and educational background (to include individual, group, family, experiential, and evidence-based models). Collaborates with other treatment team members regarding patients' progress through interdisciplinary team meetings, record review, and informal discussions. Ensures that medical record documentation protocols are complied with. Ensures that persons' served progress notes are entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational and departmental procedures. May coordinate services and community resources as needed and assist person's served in obtaining them. Participates regularly in departmental and staff meetings. Serves on programs or organizational committees as required and as time and workload allow. Maintains all Michigan licensure requirements. Builds knowledge of current trends and developments in treatment and counseling through the use of appropriate professional literature, medical workshops and publications. Fulfills continuing education requirements as per PRCMHS departmental policies. Participates in education and training programs for persons served, families, or community groups. May write behavior management plans for patients as part of consultation. Provides consultation to professionals, hospitals, organizations, or agencies outside of Pine Rest. Membership and involvement in local, state, and national professional organizations is encouraged. What Does This Role Require? Education/Experience: Current state license or degree from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association.. Requires a Fully Licensed Psychologist One to two years of postgraduate clinical experience in order to gain adequate understanding of PRCMHS policies and procedures and in order to develop skills in patient assessment, and development of treatment plans. May be required to apply to become a member of the Affiliate or Courtesy Affiliate Medical Staff.     Job Description $5000 Signing Bonus General Statement: Under the direct clinical supervision of a fully licensed Psychologist and/or Neuropsychologist and the administrative direction of the Program Director or designee, the Psychometrician administers and scores neuropsychological, psychological, developmental and behavioral test batteries. The Psychometrician completes test scoring, the use of normative tables, and the writing of accurate, timely reports and integrated summaries of test results. The majority of work will take place in a clinic based setting, working with children, adolescents, teens and families. Minimum Requirements: Masters in Psychology with the Michigan Limited License Psychologist (LLP) credential AND at least one (1) year experience in the examination, evaluation AND treatment of children, adolescents, and/or teens with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or social-emotional disorders. Will consider a candidate with a Temporary Limited License Psychologist (TLLP) credential. The employee with a TLLP must make application for LLP upon completion of 2000 hours in order to retain employment. All Master's level psychologists must take and pass the Examination for Professional Practice within four (4) years of hire to retain employment. Employee must maintain valid State of Michigan Psychology licensure to retain employment.
