KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead the development, design, and implementation of energy conservation projects for large and complex facilities.
· Conduct energy audits, analyze utility data, and develop defensible energy and cost savings calculations.
· Collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, estimating, and project management) throughout design and delivery.
· Present technical findings and project recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
· Stay current with emerging energy technologies, regulations, and best practices.
· Mentor and provide technical guidance to Energy Engineers and project team members.
· Support project execution from concept through completion, ensuring quality and accuracy in all deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in energy engineering, with expertise in HVAC systems, building automation, renewable energy, or central plant design.
Experience across multiple sectors (healthcare, education, government, or industrial) strongly preferred.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Prior leadership, supervisory, or mentorship experience a plus.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel up to 50%.
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass an FBI background check due to federal contract requirements.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking an Energy Engineer to join our growing Energy Services team. In this role, you'll support energy conservation and efficiency projects across a wide variety of facilities-including higher education, healthcare, government, K-12, and industrial environments.
You'll conduct field audits, analyze utility data, build energy savings models, develop technical solutions, and collaborate closely with internal teams to support proposals and project execution. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys blending technical analysis with client interaction and creative problem-solving.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct facility energy surveys and engage directly with customers throughout the audit process
Analyze utility data and summarize findings to support project development
Develop energy savings calculations, refine models, and validate assumptions
Create clear technical write-ups, spreadsheets, and solution documentation
Collaborate with project managers and estimators to support cost modeling
Support audit efforts as the audit lead or technical lead
Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, customers, vendors, and partners

Travel occasionally for site visits, audits, and customer meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
