Develop a Study of Economic Activities and Sustainable Strategies to analyze the interactions among the diverse economic activities of Río Piedras.
The study must identify key businesses and propose strategies to assess and strengthen distribution networks during emergencies in order to promote a sustainable, self-sufficient local economy prepared to respond to crises. The study must integrate a SWOT analysis that summarizes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and strengths.
This study will identify the economic activities of communities in Río Piedras to provide a current overview of these activities. The study should consider the constant interruptions in essential services such as water, energy, and transportation and how it affects businesses, markets, health centers, and community gardens, and weakens their capacity for economic recovery.
Based on the analyses conducted, the study must propose strategies to maintain essential assets operation during emergencies and recommendations for strengthening solidarity-based economic networks.
Identify and develop the methodology and tools necessary to conduct the study in the community. Examples include, but are not limited, to: analysis of census data, plans, economic analysis indicators, and other relevant data sources; development of data gathering tools such as surveys, interview questions, focus groups, among others; and development of cost-benefit, supply and demand, and other analyses, among other methodologies and tools.
Prepare a detailed workplan schedule of site visits and coordinate access to the assessment area between community representatives and residents.

Review historical records from federal, state, and local databases.
Assess applicable legal and regulatory frameworks to identify past activities and existing policies that may support viable solutions.

Use and manage storage repository for all data collected and ensure Personal Identifiable Information.
Analyze data gathered.
Develop a comprehensive report summarizing the methodology used, key findings identified through analysis of existing conditions, the courses of action, and five (5) potential funding sources.
Create an accessible presentation for community members that summarizes the study's objectives, methodologies, key findings, recommendations and any other relevant content included in the comprehensive report in a language accessible that ensures the community engagement and action. Visual aids such as images, maps, graphs, and infographics may be utilized to enhance understanding.
Coordinate the final presentation to the community with community representatives and residents.

PURPOSE / SUMMARY
Responsible for the procurement and planning of materials in support of the S&OP and Master Schedule for the manufacturing operations business were applied. Responsible for the production planning and execution of new purchases and local purchases transfer. Provides oversight for the Supplier Evaluation and Approval Process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement:
* Monitor and implement purchasing instructions, policies, and procedures.
* Track and maintain records of goods ordered and received.
* Represent TPR in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
* Reviews requisition for goods or services and confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule to assist departments in cost savings initiatives.
* Ensure that all local services rendered have up to date licenses and meet CFSE (Corporacion del Fondo de Seguro del Estado) guidelines.
* Perform RFQ's for goods and services and analyze responses for but not limited to, specification compliance, price, delivery, and payment terms.
* Prepares PO's per requirements of MRP/requisitions and monitors delivery of product against PO's.
* Plans and schedules deliveries to optimize inventories in support of production schedules.

* Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
* Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, or customer information, so that status reports can be completed.
* Manage the production plan by developing, executing and monitoring the plan.
* Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
* Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
* Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
* Utilize ERP system requirement reports to release scheduled work orders.
* Continuously communicates changes and updates to accommodate customer needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

* Planning Focus:
* Evaluates business plans and establishes production schedules based on the ERP system recommendations in support of financial plans. Job Summary:
The Planner/Buyer reports to the manager leading all aspects of supply chain operations. They develop, coordinate, and implement production schedules for assigned product lines. These schedules align with approved production plans, client happiness goals, and stock level benchmarks. Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
Planning Focus:
1. Production Planning: Evaluate business plans and establish production schedules based on ERP system recommendations, ensuring alignment with financial objectives. Incorporate within the established schedules considerations such as departmental efficiency, workforce planning, customer service goals, and inventory targets (including backorder avoidance).
2. Schedule Management: Adjust production schedules to reflect material availability. Implement schedules through work order issuance and supervise production performance against established schedules.
3. Priority Management & Reporting: Expedite back-order conditions and production priorities, coordinating with all relevant departments to achieve objectives. Provide accurate and timely product status and availability reports to internal and external stakeholders such as but not limited to Customer Service/Marketing.
4. Inventory Control: Maintain finished goods and work-in-process inventories within established control parameters. Initiate actions to reduce excess and obsolete inventory and monitor expiration reports to minimize stock loss through re-testing, shelf-life extensions, or repackaging.
5. Issue Resolution & Communication: Inform management of challenges and opportunities impacting production schedules and recommend corrective actions. Maintain clear communication with Operations regarding delivery, quality, or inventory issues that could affect business performance.
6. Data & Reporting: Provide timely information to support management reports, production analysis, and forecast volumes in accordance with established procedures. Maintains accurate performance measurements, records, and reports as approved by upper management.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Attend manufacturing meetings, conference calls, and product-specific sessions as required. Develop or acquire planning tools to support new product introductions and related initiatives.
8. Compliance & SOP Management: Support the administration and maintenance of departmental SOPs to guarantee adherence to FDA, OSHA, ISO 13485:2016, and ISO 14001 standards.
9. ERP System Management: Conduct, reschedule, expedite, and cancel production work orders within the ERP system to maintain accurate performance reporting and align inventory levels with production demands.
10. Backorder & Stock Loss Analysis: Analyze backorder and stock loss reports with production personnel to minimize product shortages and inventory write-offs. Communicate planned monthly deliveries and proactively report deviations from commitments.
11. Continuous Improvement & New Product Support: Participate in materials management initiatives, including new product transfers and process improvement programs.
12. Budget & Inventory Planning: Contribute to the establishment of inventory budgets to define acceptable inventory levels across varying production activity levels, enabling performance measurement and operational control.
13. Communication & Issue Management: Maintain clear and consistent communication with Operations personnel regarding any delivery, quality, or inventory issues that could significantly impact business performance. Engage proactively in production meetings to ensure alignment and timely resolution of concerns.
14. Performance Measurement & Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all assigned performance measurements, records, and reports within the system, in accordance with standards approved by the Supply Chain Manager.
15. Manufacturing Floor Engagement & Support: Regularly visit manufacturing areas to monitor production status and provide support for scheduling or operational needs as required.
Purchasing Focus:
1. Purchase Order Management: Review and verify planned orders generated by MRP. Analyze requirements, convert planned orders into purchase requisitions, and subsequently into purchase orders. Ensure timely transmission of purchase orders to vendors, either electronically or in printed form as required.
2. Master Data & Vendor Management: Maintain and update Source Lists and Purchasing Info Records for existing part numbers or create new records as needed. Revise vendor specifications and prepare Change Notification Forms when applicable.
3. Issue Resolution: Address and resolve accounts payable discrepancies (GR/IR), raw material quality concerns, and shipping issues promptly to avoid operational disruptions.
4. MRP Analysis & Order Adjustment: Analyze MRP reports for accuracy and completeness, taking necessary actions. Reschedule, expedite, or cancel purchase orders within the system to maintain accurate performance reporting.
5. Delivery & Backorder Monitoring: Review quarterly raw material delivery schedules and communicate deviations from planned or promised dates to the Planner in advance. Analyze backorder and stock loss reports to minimize product shortages and inventory write-offs.
6. ERP Updates & Cross-Functional Coordination: Update past-due purchase order dates in the ERP system promptly. Coordinate with Engineering, QA, Production, and Finance on raw material phase-in/phase-out activities.

Responsible for the procurement and planning of materials in support of the S&OP and Master Schedule for the manufacturing operations business were applied. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Procurement:**
+ Monitor and implement purchasing instructions, policies, and procedures.

Job Summary:
The Planner/Buyer reports to the manager leading all aspects of supply chain operations. They develop, coordinate, and implement production schedules for assigned product lines. These schedules align with approved production plans, client happiness goals, and stock level benchmarks. This role monitors schedule performances, responds to demand fluctuations, and takes proactive measures to ensure finished goods inventory supports incoming demand while minimizing stock loss.
