Job Summary:
The Demand Planner is a critical strategic role responsible for designing, building, and continuously improving the demand planning capability across a multi-plant manufacturing network. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role plans demand for three manufacturing facilities producing a diverse portfolio of make-to-order, short-lead-time products as well as frozen and medium-lead-time items.
This is not a maintenance role. The successful candidate will build and mature a scalable demand planning system, establish forecasting discipline, and embed demand planning into the broader S&OP process. Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting
Design, build, and own the demand planning framework across multiple product types, including make-to-order and frozen portfolios.

Ordering of raw materials based on customer demand while considering days of inventory on hand.
Day to day responsibilities to also align with yearly KPIs including delivery reliability, inventory management, and manufacturing optimization.
Qualifications:
HYBRID - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote after candidate is fully trained and functional

The Transportation Planner is responsible for managing and maintaining the eligibility of SARPC for state and federal funding by coordinating transportation planning and program requirements in the region. Assumes responsibility for developing and maintaining GIS hardware, software, and data to support the transportation planning process. Oversees transportation projects.
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS:
Receives general supervision from the Director of Transportation and the Principal Transportation Planner. Supervisor sets the overall objectives and employee and supervisor, in consultation, develop the deadlines, projects, and work to be done; employee is responsible for planning and carrying out the assignment; and work is reviewed only from an overall standpoint.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Transportation and Urban Planning:
1. Analyze traffic flow, signal timing, capacity analysis, and other technical aspects to ensure the optimization of traffic operation. Collect and analyze data, forecast trends, and make informed decisions is crucial for successful planning.
2. Analyze freight demand patterns, including volume, origin-destination flows, and seasonal/economic variations, to optimize freight transportation networks.
3. Research, design, and implement sustainable transportation practices, including promoting active transportation (walking, cycling), public transit, and reducing carbon emissions.
4. Validate and calibrate transportation travel demand forecast models using observed data to ensure their accuracy and reliability in predicting travel behavior.
5. Assist in development and maintenance of transportation studies, reports, and plans.
6. Assist in development of long-term (Long Range Transportation Plan) and short-term transportation plans (Transportation Improvement Program) for SARPC.
7. Assist in maintaining the congestion management system (CMS), Transportation Alternatives Programs (TAP) grant, Human Services Coordinated Transportation Plan (HSCTP), Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) and other strategies/plans/products as assigned.
8. Assist in managing and maintaining the eligibility of SARPC to receive Federal transportation funds by coordinating federally-mandated transportation planning and programming. Ensure plans/reports/projects are completed by state and federal deadlines to continue to receive funding.
9. Coordinate and communicate the transportation activities with member governments, state,
and federal agencies, and standing committees.
10. Provide technical assistance and prepare grant applications for member governments.
11. Manage SARPC's GIS licenses and credits.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Project Management:
1. Manage transportation projects from conception to implementation including, but not limited to,
planning, organizing, and coordinating resources, are necessary for successful project execution.
2. Plan, coordinate, and manage GIS projects (Cross Organizational as well), including defining
project scope, allocating resources (li censes/credits), setting tim elines , and ensuring successful
project completion.
3. Assist department director in managing a team of transportation planning professionals, including
assigning tasks, providing guidance/support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
4. Detennine and allocate funding for projects, review budgets, and ensure that projects are on
budget and on time.
5. Utilize the Computerized Project Management System (CPMS) to initialize and monitor project
financial data.
Communication:
1. Coordinate the member government staff to facilitate data sharing, development, and
management.
2. Attend public transportation training and events as necessary.
3. Coordinate public involvement, transportation planning, and committee meetings to include
notification, preparation of meeting materials, resolutions for approval and developing minutes.
4. Present transportation plans and projects at various meetings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
1. Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.

3. Knowledge and ability to operate office equipment including telephone, copy machine,
fax machine, computer, and calculator.
