CNC HTC Machine Operator / Horizontal Lathe
Employee Type: Full-Time (2nd shift)
Opening for highly motivated and team-oriented CNC HTC Machine Operator.
Responsibilities:
• Operating HTC (Horizontal Turning Center), setup, inspecting parts to drawings requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions when necessary.
• Reporting needed repairs, review setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedures.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years' experience in Aerospace industry.
• Operating and set up knowledge of standard CNC controllers; i.e. CNC Lathes.
• Must be familiar with machining technology, mechanical principles, and shop mathematics.
• FANUC control knowledge is a plus.
• Read and understand blueprints a must.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills; must read, write, and speak English.
• Overtime may be required per business needs. Other duties assigned by supervisor.
• Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of a CNC Program preferred.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties for this job, alternating between standing and sitting. Also perform walking, gross manipulation, fine motor manipulation, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to perform repetitive movements daily.
Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on shop floor
Possible risk of injury from equipment or sharp parts and may be required to use protective equipment such as gowns and safety goggles.
Assignment may require working on loud and potentially dangerous machinery/materials.
Required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data.
Must be able to move and lift objects of up to 50 lbs.

Type: Full-Time, 1st shift
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate proficiency with MasterCam and/or NX
Experience in using Solid Works is desired
Ability to read engineering prints and design documentation, including the ability to understand GD&T
Develop work-holding fixtures and select cutting tools
Must have ability to adjust speeds, feeds, tooling and operating sequences as needed and analyze G code
Specify perishable tooling and capable fixturing while applying continuous improvements to the manufacturing process.
Must have advanced knowledge of metal cutting as well as the ability to select and recommend test tooling
Multi-Axis and Multi-Spindle experience a plus
Integrate work with the Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing and Scheduling Department to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factory.
Qualifications:
An ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering

Selects, aligns, and secures cutting tools into tool holders and then installs tool assemblies on machines.
Loads and secures raw material on machine.
For manual operations, calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
For CNC operations, retrieves current revision machine control program and downloads to machine.
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required.
Unloads finished machined part from machine and deburrs as necessary to perform quality checks.
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications manually or through the use of a CMM / DCC-CMM. Enters required data into quality documentation and signs as required.
Performs daily housekeeping and maintenance on assigned machine, auxiliary equipment, tooling and work area.
Confers with engineers, programmers, inspectors, or maintenance personnel to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); VoTech Trade school graduate preferred.
Completed a machining related apprenticeship program or 3-5 years equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience setting up and operating Mill Turn B-axis Twin Spindle Machines and Citizen multi-axis lathes
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to present numerical data effectively and write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations.
Computer Skills:
Possess Basic Computer skills.
