We are seeking a CNC/Laser Programmer to join our Engineering team. This role is dedicated to programming and CAD/CAM support - not machine operation. The Programmer will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining programs and CAD files for CNC laser and fabrication equipment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and manufacturability. The ideal candidate has strong CAD/CAM expertise, experience in nesting and toolpath optimization, and a collaborative mindset to support both Engineering and Production. Key Responsibilities Develop CNC and laser programs from engineering drawings, CAD files, and product specifications. Translate 2D/3D CAD drawings into optimized machine-readable formats (nesting, toolpath). Create and maintain program libraries, ensuring version control and accuracy. Job Description The Sanding and Robot Operator - 3rd Shift position sets up, operates and maintains multiple robotic sanding cells as trained and instructed to meet or exceed defined production targets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned) Operates multiple robotic sanding cells with the loading and unloading of helmets to maximize robot time sanding while also ensuring quality. Identify helmet models to be sanded and correctly set the machine fixturing to ensure quality sanding. Load and unload helmets from the fixturing proplerly. Organize and maintain the machine fixturing so that they can be easily found as needed. Operate the computer controls of each cell to select the proper program for the paint color being sanded. Load the robot sanding tool as needed with the proper sand paper grit per the program running. Change the interface pads and backup pads on each cell running as needed to maintain quality sanding. Identify and communicate issues quickly to the GrayMatter Team using the Hot Line and the Team Viewer communication tool. Communicate issues immediately to Team Leader and Supervisor. We are seeking a motivated Mold Maker to join the team at our brand-new product development facility in Plymouth, MN. This role will provide an opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of mold building and will provide opportunities for future growth, training, and development. The primary responsibilities of this role are to build injection molds and related tools/components which are manufactured and maintained to a high degree of quality. This is an intermediate level role and will work closely with and under direction of other senior Mold Makers. The Mold Maker ensures ProMed's brand, philosophy, systems, policies, and procedures are properly implemented and observed. Schedule: Flexible day shift hours. Shift typically starts between 4:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Get out early on Fridays! ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Fabricate precision injection molds from CAD models and drawings that meet dimensional specifications and quality standards, ensuring manufacturing processes achieve required tolerances * Collaborate with senior mold makers to gain further experience with all aspects of mold building, maintenance/repairs, and injection molding * Independently set up, program, and operate multiple types of CNC machining equipment including 3 and 5-axis mills, sinker EDM, and grinders with minimal supervision, producing precise medical injection molds that meet tight tolerances * Modifies or repairs existing molds, fixtures, etc. in accordance with engineering drawings, solid models, or verbal instructions. * Conduct comprehensive quality inspections of in-process and finished mold components to ensure conformance with engineering specifications and customer requirements * Maintain machining equipment with routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize production downtime * Contribute to individual and team continuous improvement activities * Observe and adhere to all safety expectations, procedures, and regulations * Ensure tool room is maintained in a clean and orderly manner daily * Other Duties as Needed: Any other duties and tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements Required Skill/Knowledge: Minimum 1-2 years' experience mold repair and troubleshooting injection mold tooling, ability to work from complex prints and tool drawings, Experience using, mills, lathes, grinders and hand tools, strong mathematical skills, multi-tasking, pneumatics and hydraulics, electrical knowledge, knowledge of plastic resins, experience in repair of hot runner systems, collaborative, able to work under time constraints. Able and willing to interface with molds to repair while still in the press. overhead crane usage and forklifts Preferred Skills/ Knowledge: Experience with unscrewing molds, welding, knowledge of LSR (liquid silicone rubber), mold maker certification. The Mold Maker works with senior mold makers on new mold builds, repair Injection, EPP and Insert molds as directed, and continue to develop technical skills from senior mold makers and through external training programs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Disassemble and assemble molds safely, efficiently, and without damage. Disassemble and assemble hot runner systems including wiring and multimeter testing. Accurately use and read Micrometers, Calipers and Gauges. Utilize basic MasterCam skills. Set-up, program, and operate CNC, manual mill, lathe, sinker EDM, and surface grinder as needed and in a safe, efficient, and proper manner to produce quality workmanship. Participate in continuous improvement efforts. Obtain work instruction from shop drawings, e-files, verbal instructions, and sketches. Perform assigned work with minimal supervision from manager or senior mold makers. Work with senior mold makers to repair Injection, EPP and Insert molds. Job DescriptionDescription: Primary Function: Repairs and maintains injection molding tooling. Troubleshoots issues related to tooling and provides technical support to shop floor. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Supports manufacturing by repairing and adjusting injection molds, dies, fixtures and tooling. Works with cross functional teams to ensure tooling meets customer specifications. Troubleshoots issues related to tooling and provides technical support as needed. Repairs and maintains hot-runner molds. Additional Responsibilities: Maintains data on locations of all customer owned tooling. Audits and updates tool room inventory (spare components, supplies, etc.). Ensures machine tools, measuring devices and other equipment are in good, safe working condition. Requirements: Required Skill/Knowledge: Minimum 1-2 years' experience mold repair and troubleshooting injection mold tooling, ability to work from complex prints and tool drawings, Experience using, mills, lathes, grinders and hand tools, strong mathematical skills, multi-tasking, pneumatics and hydraulics, electrical knowledge, knowledge of plastic resins, experience in repair of hot runner systems, collaborative, able to work under time constraints. Able and willing to interface with molds to repair while still in the press. overhead crane usage and forklifts Preferred Skills/ Knowledge: Experience with unscrewing molds, welding, knowledge of LSR (liquid silicone rubber), mold maker certification. Education Level / Required Certification: High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Additional Information: Must have own transportation and valid drivers license for travel between plants. Physical requirements may include long periods of sitting, standing, stairs, kneeling, climbing, bending, stooping and lifting up to 35 pounds. Will be exposed to the odor of plastics, required to work in small tight spaces and climb ladders. May operate overhead crane. Must have ability to wear required PPE. Will be part of on call rotation. Must be able to work OT and off shifts as needed. Other duties as required. Please note this job is repair and maintenance of tooling. We do not build tooling.
