EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION High School diploma or GED certificate with associated experience. The individual must also possess excellent understanding of prevailing standards of medical practice, and the ability to constructively participate in a clinical quality improvement. The position includes having to meet deadlines, deal effectively with time pressures and stress and write reports and correspondence. Intermediate math skills and legible handwriting is a must. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will: Medication & Inventory Management Maintain and organize medication inventory with precision Proactively manage shortages and drug recalls Rotate and stock medications to prevent errors and minimize waste Ensure all automated dispensing cabinets are accurately stocked and maintained Patient-Centered Pharmacy Support Prepare prescriptions for our health plan members while safeguarding patient confidentiality Interview newly admitted patients to gather complete and accurate medication histories Provide outstanding customer service with every interaction Sterile & Non-Sterile Compounding Maintain sterile compounding areas in accordance with policy Accurately prepare IV admixtures and chemotherapy under pharmacist supervision using aseptic technique Operational Excellence Record and monitor medication refrigerator temperatures daily Maintain adequate supplies for hospital departments Safely use and maintain all pharmacy equipment Assist with annual pharmacy inventory Support compliance with the 340B program Remain flexible, organized, and calm - even under pressure Follow organizational attendance and safety policies Growth & Professional Development Maintain required CE credits to keep your skills sharp and your certification current Take on additional duties as opportunities arise - we love helping our team grow! Educational Qualifications: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician and/or current enrollment in a pharmacy tech program Level I Pharmacy Techs will be required to obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification within one year of hire and state registration upon hire Level II requires two to five years of previous pharmacy technician experience or related experience and will be required to obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification within one (1) year of employment, and state registration upon hire Level III requires five or more years of previous pharmacy technician or related experience with knowledge of sterile product preparation.
