Primary Responsibilities

Purpose:
This position is responsible for providing product testing support to engineers. Assist in design, development, and improvements to existing products by providing product testing services of performance and endurance to many different industry standards. Responsibilities:
Complete defined engineering design verification and validation test plans for product development while Identifying potential product quality issues before product launch date.
Complete design validation and verification testing of new or existing products or processes to internal and existing industry standards
Complete up to 150 Work Requests with written Test Reports annually
Conduct root cause failure analysis on field returned products and report findings
Maintain and care for the laboratory and related equipment and tools to ISO 17025 requirements
Maintain a 5s work environment with a minimum of 85% audit compliance
Education & Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess an AS or BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology or related field and 2+ year of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of experience and education
Strong emphasis is given to outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively
Previous experience setting up performance tests using laboratory equipment and instrumentation is preferred
Knowledge of use and care of testing equipment including pressure gauges, flow meters, load cells, and pressure transducers preferred
Familiarity and understanding of ISO 17025 quality documents such as SOP's, design specs, work instructions, training guides and test methods
A working knowledge of relevant industry standards such as CSA, ASS, ASME, ASTM and ISO would prove beneficial.

Job Description:
The SPT I is responsible for general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department. This position requires a data entry background. This position is critical to quality for customer satisfaction. Additionally, since many changes do occur from day to day, great flexibility on the part of the SPT I is required. The SPT I will be exposed to many different demands made by the customer. Majority of SPT I work on the nightshift but based on staffing needs, weekends, holidays, on call and overtime availability is a requirement.
Department is a production environment, with emphasis on productivity/quality standards and departmental completion times. Position requires data background with abilities to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour. Works in a biohazard environment, practicing good safety habits. Able to sit or stand for long periods. Communicates effectively with all levels of staff. Adheres to core values, safety and compliance policies and procedures. Keeps work area neat and clean. Overview of Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing & Sample Analysis
Perform microbiological and analytical testing for in-process materials, drug substances, stability studies, and facility-related samples.
Complete environmental and critical utility monitoring, including viable/non-viable sampling in controlled areas.
Use laboratory software systems such as LIMS, MODA, and endotoxin testing platforms to record, review, and manage data.
