Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Float RN can be assigned to two (2) or more units based on need and will maintain competency to practice in all units. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The RN also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients on an assigned unit. She/he/them communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient's clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
1. Current and valid state RN License
2. Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
5. Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
7. Able to float to two (2) or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

UC Health is hiring a Part Time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Oncology unit for the Day Shift, Weekends Only (WOW) at the UC Medical Center. Be a part of a growing Surgical Oncology program, by making an indelible impact cancer patient's lives through caring for them with the most advanced treatment.
The Surgical Oncology nurse will support the Medical Center's 24-bed Surgical Oncology unit and Level I Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.
UCMC is at the forefront in treating patients with pancreatic and liver diseases and is one of two centers that offer autologous islet cell transplantation for the treatment of chronic pancreatitis. 9CCP cares for these patients following ICU until discharge and when patients are readmitted with pain or infection issues. The unit also cares for acute care surgery, thoracic, gynecology/oncology, vascular and colorectal patients.
Most of the patients at 9CCP are cared for under the direction of a surgeon. Most patients are admitted from PACU, ICU, ER or directly from their home. Nursing care is concentrated around recovery after surgery including mobility, monitoring intake and output and pain management.

Responsibilities

The Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Clinical Manager provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant and Living Donor programs, overseeing all phases of care across pre-transplant, post-transplant, living donor services and dual-organ processes (SLK, SHK, or SKP). The Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Clinical Manager provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant and Living Donor programs, overseeing all phases of care across pre-transplant, post-transplant, living donor services and dual-organ processes (SLK, SHK, or SKP). This role directs a multidisciplinary team of 19-20 clinical staff, ensuring seamless coordination of complex evaluations, procedures, and follow-up care while advancing patient-centered outcomes.
The manager ensures full compliance with UNOS, CMS, OPTN, ODH, and institutional regulatory standards and drives program performance through quality improvement initiatives, regulatory readiness, data accuracy, and workflow optimization. In partnership with nephrologists, surgeons, and key internal and external stakeholders, the manager strengthens referral pathways, supports National Kidney Registry (NKR) activities, and promotes evidence-based clinical practice.
As both clinical and administrative leader, the manager is responsible for staffing, scheduling, performance management, and the professional development of the care team. The RN Transplant Coordinator is a licensed professional nurse responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of care for solid organ transplant patients and living donor candidates across the continuum-from referral and evaluation through waitlist management, inpatient care, surgery, and post-transplant/post-donation follow-up. Organize and manage outreach evaluation clinics across multiple locations.
Facilitate pre-transplant evaluation processes, record reviews, testing, and referrals.
Serve as liaison with dialysis centers, community providers, and outreach partners.
Provide education and support for patients, families, and dialysis staff.
Present outreach cases to the multidisciplinary selection committee.
Support marketing, education, and community engagement initiatives.

PLANNING:

Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her patients in the Emergency Department. He / She communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient's clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
6. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
7. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
