Key Duties: Cargo Acceptance & Documentation: Accepts inbound and outbound cargo shipments, ensuring compliance with airline and regulatory requirements. Prepares and processes airway bills, cargo manifests, and other required documentation for domestic and international shipments. Safely sets up, sorts, stores, and moves cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment. Builds up and breaks down Unit Load Devices (ULDs) for aircraft loading and unloading. Performs marshalling, loading, and unloading of freighter aircraft, ensuring safe and efficient cargo transfer. Delivers and retrieves cargo from aircraft gates and designated areas. Prepares and submits U.S. Customs documentation for import/export cargo. Clears cargo through U.S. Customs and other regulatory agencies as required, including agriculture inspections. Provides accurate and timely information to customers regarding cargo services, customs requirements, and shipment status. Assists with inquiries related to cargo claims and service issues. Accounts for charge transactions related to interisland, domestic, and international shipments. Audits daily transactions including OA (Other Airline) transfers and electronic payment checks to ensure accuracy. Performs clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and recordkeeping. Supports operational reporting and assists with administrative tasks as assigned. Performs duties of lower classifications as needed to support team operations. Adheres to all safety protocols and operational procedures to ensure a secure working environment. Ensures that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance to the safety polices. * Loads/Unloads product correctly using the appropriate handling techniques. Segregate, check, and stage inbound product correctly. * Verifies the driver, trailer, and bills are all for that specific carrier and location. Counts freight with the driver and ensures all requirements are followed. Loads the trailer for safe transit and ensures the driver signs all required paperwork. * Performs all Forklift activities as required.
