General Requirements:
Responsible for assisting with performing safety audits for all divisions and all products.
Risk identification and management, incident reporting and investigation
Conducts inspections and assessments.
Record keeping and other general administrative duties.
Responsible for observing and complying with all safety, environmental and project rules.
Perform accident and incident investigations and reporting as directed.
Assists in documentation collection for driver qualification files.
Assists in training functions.
Provides input to management.
Ensure that federal, state, company, and site-specific policies and procedures are enforced.
Ability to identify and suggest resolution of problems in a timely manner.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Perform monthly and quarterly inspections on tools and safety equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively in front of large groups.
Positively influence change and operational discipline around all things HSE related.
Additional duties as assigned.
Educational & Minimum Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 15 years of electric utility experience. (When hiring for Transmission or substation, make this specific)
3+ years' experience in a Safety position in the T&D industry preferred or relevant mix of school and HSE field experience in associated construction industry.
Basic computer skills particularly Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for input and output of data
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
OSHA 10 & 30
Strong knowledge of applicable OSHA standards
Extensive travel required.
Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.
Job site safety requirements as required by the client (long sleeves, steel/safety toe boots, etc.).
Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
Valid driver's license.
Educational & Preferred Requirements:
OSHA 510 & OSHA 500
Risk management degree or safety professional certification preferred.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly talented Senior Geotechnical Dam Safety Engineer to join the East Region Dams Team. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region. The successful candidate will join the ENR consistently ranked #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm and have access to exciting career advancement opportunities. This position will report to one of the AECOM offices in the East Region including but not limited to Atlanta, Georgia; Buffalo, New York; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Germantown, Maryland; Franklin Tennessee; or Tampa, Florida.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform the roles of a Project Manager such as maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management.
Provide technical support for projects including seepage and slope stability analyses, filter and drain design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, Semi-Quantitative Risk Assessments, site inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of hydraulic structures.
Plan, manage, and lead field investigations for various hydraulic structures and embankments (soil drilling, rock coring, concrete coring, in-situ testing, test pits, etc.).
Prepare and perform quality reviews of other Engineer's work on deliverables such design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
Perform engineering estimates for cost and project schedules.
Work with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of Dam Safety Engineering projects.
Responsible for quality control.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
Develop engineering proposals.
Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with demonstrated coursework in Geotechnical Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer in at least one state with the ability to successfully apply for reciprocity in additional states.
Relevant experience with dams and other hydraulic structures, including rehabilitation and/or new design and construction.
Experience in relevant geotechnical engineering software programs such as GeoStudio and gINT.
Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
8 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering and/or Dams Engineering.
Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
Project experience with the US Army Corps of Engineers or the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Ability to complete the Managing AECOM Projects training and receive the AECOM Project Manager certification.

Track vendor performance, including customer counts, safety concerns, and special occurrences; submit weekly logs to the General Manager.
Coordinate and follow up on all vendor service and project requests.
Ensure vendors adhere to service models, menu development standards, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with clients and vendors on site project planning.
Plans and executes quarterly Vendor Partner Meetings.
Conducts business reviews with each Vendor Partner twice per year, documenting conversations and expected outcomes.
Qualifications
2 - 4 years of professional experience in safety; experience with management systems or a Certified Safety Professional designation preferred.
Minimum of 2 years in a management role.
Strong knowledge of safety best practices, including HACCP, OSHA 10 General Industry, and ServSafe certification.
Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
Strong collaboration skills to ensure a unified food service experience across departments.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Ability to stand for extended periods.

**Responsibilities:

Subject matter expert for Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.
Develop, manage, and administer safety & production training programs that ensure all team members can perform assigned tasks / functions efficiently, effectively, and safely.
Manage and maintain new hire safety training to ensure team members understand workplace hazards, safe operating procedures, and how to respond safely in the event of an emergency.
Communicate
any compliance issues or regulatory changes to the sitemanager and all department managers.
Develop and manage systems to organize, track, analyze, and systematically sustain safety and environmental training, programs, and reporting. Programs include but are not limited to: Annual safety training, LOTO, fall protection, rigging/hoists, forklifts, hearing tests, Safety Walks, chain inspections, Safety Beacons to other divisions, Safety Committee, and annual vaccination drives.
Ensure proper use and continued upkeep of all required PPE.
Assist supervisors and managers in responding to emergency situations in the plant. Conduct training and standardize procedures to support them.
Manage and support incident investigations in a timely manner. Perform root-cause analysis with the goal of eliminating future like incidents.
Analyze incidents and workers compensation loss-runs for trends and make recommendations for improvements to management.
Ensure SRC's compliance with all federal and state environmental, health, and safety regulations. Complete all required reporting to these bodies on time.
Provide leadership and guidance to the local safety committee.
Create a “Safety Culture” that fosters broad-based participation, commitment, and compliance for all departments and individuals.

**Qualifications:
**
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a business-related field, or combination of significant work experience and certifications with the realm of EHS.
Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience in manufacturing environments within a safety-related role, including management experience.
CSP, CIH or other safety certifications preferred.
Solid understanding of occupational health and safety (OH&S) including all state and federal safety regulations and requirements.
Experience with using adult learning methods to develop training programs.
Experience conducting safety audits to ensure compliance, hazard ID and risk management.
Experience with prevalent incident management methodologies.
Understanding of workers compensation laws.
