The Northern Region Parks Division (NRPD) of the Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking Seasonal MaintenanceWorkers to support park operations across multiple programs and locations. Seasonal MaintenanceWorkers perform a variety of routine maintenance, groundskeeping, and custodial tasks to help ensure that parks, facilities, and public spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming for visitors. Examples of Important Duties
* Perform general grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, leaf removal, and litter collection

Under the general supervision of a Parks/Facilities Maintenance Leader, the successful candidate will perform a variety of general parks maintenance tasks such as playground repairs, grass mowing, trash removal, athletic field renovation and maintenance, trail maintenance, tree planting, pruning, and aftercare cleaning, repairing park buildings and structures while working with and occasionally leading teams of career and/or seasonal employees. The ideal candidate should possess skills to operate trucks, tractors with attachments, large riding mowers, loaders, and forklifts (some of which will require a (CDL) Commercial Driver's License). Trade skills in carpentry and painting are a plus.

Examples of Important Duties
The Nature Facility Park Rentals and MaintenanceWorker will primarily work with our native plant landscaping, garden boxes, and greenhouse operations. Employee will mostly focus on planting, weeding, watering, monitoring, preparing beds and soil, maintaining vitality of the greenhouse plants and conditions, and otherwise benefitting and beautifying the land and gardens at the park. On occasion, employee will assist park naturalists in plant-based programming and activities.
