About The Role:
As a Production Associate, you will safely work alongside others in the Ernesta Fabrication and Sample facility. You will bring a curious mindset, eager to learn as you move between cut table operations, serging machines and distribution of samples to customers.
What You'll Do:
Serge (sew) samples that will be distributed to customers utilizing a serging machine
Operate a cut table machine and other cutting equipment to make samples from rolls of carpet
Heat seal labels that correctly identify each sample
Review each work order paying very close attention to details for each order to select the right samples to be sent to customers
Process sample returns
Help to manage sample inventory

Key Qualifications Include:

Our full-time FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the physical production of signs. Sign assembly includes preparing substrates and using the proper machines and techniques to construct products according to written instructions.

Summary of Job
* Follow a layout to place digital-cut vinyl or print full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium.
* Prepare substrates for vinyl application. This may include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.
* Weed excess vinyl from digital-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images.
* Operate and maintain printing, cutting and laminating equipment
* Perform quality assurance checks pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting work orders and proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
* Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
* Clean and maintain storage areas regularly
* Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Help unload and store raw materials; clean and maintain storage areas.
Other Important Responsibilities
* Perform installations at customer locations or other off-site locations as necessary.
* Communicate with other employees and customers calmly and professionally.
* Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.
* Serve as backup for our graphic designer as necessary.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures
* Participate in and practice the brand mentality of "Everybody Sells." Constantly be looking for sales opportunities for the center.
* Serve as a backup for answering the phone if the sales/service employees are busy assisting other customers.
* Assist at the front counter as needed.
* Understand the sales process enough to consult with customers to determine project needs and solutions.
Typical Physical Demands
* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
* Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
* Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back-and-forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
* Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.
* Ability to use light power equipment.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
