To be considered for a position in the Team Kentucky Internship Program, applicant must: * Be enrolled at an accredited Kentucky post-secondary school* or other educational institution approved by the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet. * Be in good standing with the school with at least a 2.5 grade point average at hire. * *Graduating high school seniors enrolled in college courses with a 2.5 GPA may also qualify and apply to participate in the program. A Day in the Life - * Collaborate with and work in the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) and Assessment Section of the Energy and Environment Cabinet. * Offer monitoring support to staff biologists for the collection of biological, chemical, and physical data from streams and wetlands throughout the Commonwealth. * Assist in laboratory activities such as bacteria analysis and macroinvertebrate sample processing. * Perform data entry and data management tasks.
