Develop knowledge of insurance coverages in both Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits. Gain hands-on experience in sales, risk management, and client services. Engage in mentorship opportunities with experienced industry professionals. Participate in networking events and professional development activities. Deliver a final presentation to senior leadership, summarizing insights gained during the program. QUALIFICATIONS Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree, majoring in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, or a related field, with a strong interest in the insurance industry. Preferably entering senior year Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.     PURPOSE: The Street REACH (Reconnecting with Employment, Academics, Community, and Housing) Program Specialist provides direct services to homeless unaccompanied youth ages 16-24. The target population is homeless unaccompanied youth who are near the completion of their high school diploma or are no longer connected to the public K-12 school system. These transition age youth will be assisted in making positive steps toward increasing their self- sufficiency by building employment skills, supporting the youth's transition to post-secondary education, and the development of life skills needed to maintain safe and stable housing. The Street REACH Program Specialist will be a member of the Unaccompanied Homeless Youth Case Conferencing, Unaccompanied Homeless Youth Task Force, and Suncoast Housing Collaborative and will work cooperatively with all community partners. The position is responsible for all contractual issues related to funding, audits, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluations related to program delivery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Review incoming referrals and set up face-to-face assessments in timely manner. Assess referrals for previous involvement with Department of Children and Families and reconnect with child welfare agency when appropriate or if not eligible provide with prevention/diversion services. Connecting youth to gateway services such as Medicaid, Food Stamps (EBT), TANF, Unemployment and Disability. Perform ongoing outreach and meet with youth at a minimum of twice per month. Fully Licensed Clinicians will ideally be credentialed with insurance panels. This is an in-clinic position with some remote telehealth. The training must begin within 90 days of employment and complete the training within 12 months from the date training begins. Childcare personnel must pass competency exams for the 40 hours of training to demonstrate their competency. Employees must also complete a minimum of 10 hours of Continuing Education Unit (CEU) of in-service training during the state's fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30. Emergency Management Responsibilities In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee's department, the County's Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be for before, during or after the emergency/disaster.
