Your contribution
The responsibilities of the intern encompasses the protection of assets for Wakefern Food Corp. and any affiliation such as a 3rd party warehouse, vendors, contractors and all associates conducting business for or with the company. This includes but is not limited to accidents and injuries, violence in the workplace issues, fire protection, crisis management, loss of product through theft, grazing or damage from any means.
What you will do
Monitors the guard force to ensure the enforcement of divisional and corporate policies and procedures are maintained.
Responds to all alarm activations and determines the cause and proper approach to the re-setting of the alarm.
Oversees the daily operation of the CCTV operator and ensures all data entry and reports are kept in accordance with divisional policy.
Responsible for the issuing of all trailer seals for store deliveries, back-hauls and shuttles from the various warehouse facilities, all gate and tractor trailer release passes, as well as time stamps and receiving stickers.
Maintains that all Asset Protection emergency equipment is kept in a state of preparedness to meet any given situation.
Coordinates visitor protocol all Wakefern Divisions and facilities.
Has the responsibility to familiarize themselves with the shipping and receiving procedures with all product divisions, also completing receiving and seal audits as needed.
Responsible for Access Control and the issuing of the access cards and maintaining the integrity of the access control platform.
Oversees the work performance of Asset Protection vendors, i.e., alarm, guard and camera companies, and maintains proper records.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills
Must be able to demonstrate a high level of customer service, confidentiality and have the ability to interface with all levels of Wakefern / ShopRite Associates.

Compensation and Benefits:
First year Wakefern Interns will be paid at $17.00 per hour. Returning Wakefern Interns will be paid at $18.00 per hour. Master Students and Returning Wakefern Supply Chain/Logistic Interns will be paid at $19.00 per hour. Interns are not eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match & annual company contribution, paid time off and holidays.

By continuing to build out Endeavor's global investor network, we help our Entrepreneurs access smarter, better-connected capital from the top VC firms active in emerging markets. You will also get to play a role in the Endeavor Catalyst investment process and see first-hand how our rules-based fund operates.

You will also catalog and recommend critical venture capital events that we and our entrepreneurs should attend to get connected with relevant investors.
Creating case studies: One of the most powerful ways for us to showcase the unique role we play is by having strong examples on hand. Over the course of the summer, you will create a few case studies that showcase where our capital support has been the most impactful, which can ultimately be used as a tool to help recruit future entrepreneurs into the network.
Supporting Endeavor Catalyst Investments: You will support the Endeavor Catalyst investment process by writing outreach notes to investors, as well as memos for direct investment opportunities for the Endeavor Catalyst LP network.
Build Expert Agenda for IPO/M&A Program: You will deep dive into Endeavor's extensive network of mentors to help build and curate a robust agenda of virtual sessions with experts in the world of IPO and M&A for a recently established program called ‘Paths to Liquidity' that will service entrepreneurs as they plan their company's exit strategy.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Overview

Serve as an onsite supervisor for public program activations including executing event logistics; assisting with visitor and artist / vendor interactions; and serving as the liaison with onsite Garden management staff to ensure proper awareness and support are given to the program.
Coordinate event production for musical performances, demonstrations, lectures, films, festival weekends, and evening programs.
Responsible for issuing written and verbal vendor communications to coordinate onsite arrival and event execution; developing and managing materials necessary for event execution including developing staff plans and signage; and providing hospitality management to partners.
Supervise Program Assistants, NYBG volunteers, and interns executing required tasks during event production.
Conduct supporting research and evaluation surveys for existing and future programs.
Troubleshoot unforeseen obstacles as they arise and provide feedback to management to ensure continued improvement and the success of future events.
Conduct periodic inventory of program materials and supplies.
Ensure NYBG IDEA initiatives are met in all aspects of business.
Other projects and events as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least two years of experience in program / event execution or related experience.
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Familiarity with Asana and Microsoft Teams preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills; a polished, polite, articulate, energetic, and friendly team-player with an engaging, outgoing personality who enjoys working with the public with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure and problem-solve quickly and efficiently.
Excellent organizational skills, showing attention to detail and the ability to self-start and prioritize to meet deadlines.
Excellent writing and scheduling skills.
