Statement of Purpose: The Program Specialist 1 is an entry-level position for CAN Community Health's Education & Prevention Team that focuses on the provision of program services including but not limited to HIV/STI testing, health education, and community outreach. This position reports directly to the HIV Prevention Program Manager.
Primary Tasks:
Provides HIV/STI/Hepatitis C testing and pre- and post-test counseling in both clinic and community-based settings. Accurately documents the provision of testing in the electronic medical record and on paper as required.
Provides education on Pre-exposure Prophylaxis to clients and community members and navigates clients for Pre-exposure Prophylaxis program.
Serves as a representative of CAN Community Health during community-based outreach events. Conducts tabling and provides health education and testing as appropriate.
Distributes condoms to community members and partner organizations.
Collaborates with other disciplines internally and externally to coordinate client/patient services and community needs.
Ensures client confidentiality 100% of the time by conforming to HIPAA laws and CAN Community Health Policies and Procedures.
Drives and maintains the mobile sprinter unit as needed/applicable.
Accurately documents and maintains records as related to grant efforts, including but not limited to time spent.
Secondary Tasks:
Participates in professional training and education to advance skills/knowledge of HIV/STIs/Hepatitis C.
Maintains required certifications for the provision of services including but not limited to testing, as required by state/local health department.
Supports CAN Community Health's efforts to develop new partnerships and partnership agreements in assigned region/territory.
Represents CAN Community Health at local, state, and national conferences and meetings, as deemed necessary.
Prepares HIV home test kits for distribution and utilizes appropriate forms and platforms to provide HIPAA compliant support to clients participating in the tele-testing program.
Conducts online health education through the use of dating geolocation applications for CAN's virtual outreach program.
Participates in special projects and initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Discuss with HM agree upon expectations, timeframes, feedback, roles and responsibilities of everyone involved in the requisition fulfilment process
Coach, manage and oversee performance of participating staffing suppliers
Document all client/ supplier reported issues and track resolution through to completion ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction in CRM system
Monitor performance against contract SLA's , requisition aging, invoicing, time and expense entry and vendor compliance tracking
Maintain and update monthly activity and performance reports
Provide constant interaction via face to face, email and phone with client, staffing vendors, contract personnel and other partners
Assist with worker assignment management (cost center changes, extension of contract assignments etc.) to improve data integrity
Liaison with managers, vendors and security department to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and collected prior to starting assignments and at end of assignments

The Program Specialist I is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Hiring Managers and managing the full lifecycle of the requisition process including requisition intake, shortlisting, sourcing management, onboarding, worker assignment management, time and expense management, offboarding and reporting. Document requirement intake conversations in appropriate database (VMS, AGS360)

Discuss with HM agree upon expectations, timeframes, feedback, roles and responsibilities of everyone involved in the requisition fulfilment process
Coach, manage and oversee performance of participating staffing suppliers
Document all client/ supplier reported issues and track resolution through to completion ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction in CRM system

As a Therapist Intern you'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing a comprehensive care program for clients receiving behavioral health services at Prisma Community Care. The Prisma Community Care Behavioral Health Program is designed to empower clients to develop healthy choices and continue to live well irrespective of a person's sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or HIV status. The Behavioral Health Program serves all people with general behavioral health outpatient service while also offering a special focus on outpatient treatment for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as well as for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA).
Under the direction of the Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor (Intern Program), you will address the behavioral health needs of Prisma Community Care clients, specifically using psychotherapy for the purpose of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
What your day will look like at Prisma Community Care:
You'll provide psychotherapy services for Prisma Community Care clients, including initial assessment and treatment.
You'll create treatment plans, identify areas to be addressed, and work with clients to develop short- and long-term goals.
You'll provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to facilitate the changes clients desire or need.
You'll provide crisis intervention as needed.
You'll consult and collaborate with other professionals both within and outside the agency.
You'll maintain mental health reports and records in a timely manner.
You'll participate in community outreach to identify prospective clients and/or community needs and facilitate the satisfaction of those needs.
You'll participate in mental health planning meetings and supervision with a clinical supervisor.
Requirements:

You're currently enrolled in a behavioral health related Graduate Degree program (counseling, social work, psychology, or nursing).
You're willing to learn and engage in new techniques.
You're proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) software applications.
You have demonstrated ability to establish rapport and maintain effective communication with culturally diverse populations from wide range of life circumstances and backgrounds.

A valid level one fingerprint clearance card from the State of Arizona.

Program Duration and Start Dates
Internship positions are meant to be short-term and based around academic semesters and last for 3-4 months. We offer: Spring, Summer and Fall positions. Our programs typically start in January (for spring); May (for summer); and August (for fall).
Our Internship Timeline
We offer internship opportunities three times a year: Spring, Summer, and Fall. To help you plan ahead, here's a general overview of our application process:

Work Hours
RBBB's office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The set schedule will be dependent on individual's availability and goals/needs of the individual/RBBB. Most of our internship positions require a weekly commitment of 8-15 hours.
Work Environment
Most of our positions are fully in-person in a professional office environment setting. Sometimes, it's an option to work a hybrid schedule or remotely; nonetheless, we highly encourage our interns to spend as much time as possible in the office. This optimized the opportunity to gain exposure to the work environment, join in meetings and have the opportunity for impromptu mentorship, job shadowing and learning opportunities. Our interns may also have the opportunity to go to offsite events and visit local elementary schools and community-based organizations.
Supervisor/Manager
The intern will be placed in one of the organization's various departments (Operations, Development or Program) and report directly to the Department Director or other designated Supervisor, who is a professional in the field. The intern will receive 1:1 guidance, be able to job shadow with a professional in their field and receive lots of feedback.
