Global Sourcing Intern Position Summary
The Global Sourcing Intern will work directly with Sourcing personnel at all levels within Oatey's org structure. Time will be divided between Direct Sourcing and Indirect Sourcing activities and projects. While working in this role the individual will be expected to communicate effectively in person, through email and over the phone, interacting with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. The position is designed to support negotiations, supplier management and cost savings projects. These activities will provide exposure to all functional departments within Oatey and give the individual a thorough overview of the Sourcing function.
Expectations & Accountabilities…
Support administrative tasks including, but not limited to, New Item Set-up Sheets, Quality Feedback management, Trade Agreements updates, Purchase requisition support and Purchase Order creation
Collect and analyze spend data that will be used to help Sourcing improve reporting
Organize data for Direct and Indirect RFQ projects
Review Direct and Indirect Sourcing processes and recommend opportunities for improvement
Other duties as assigned
